I just used my 48 hour trail code recently, and I was wondering if it's possible to have my friend play online with me? It's supposedly a "Gold account" for 48 hours, but I'm unable to sign my buddy on.

If you are looking for a game where you can both play online, try Gears of War (good luck finding people to play with though). Also, even you find a game where you can both play online both accounts need to have Gold on them, not just one.

hmm I guessed they changed the restrictions on Gold accounts. I recall on my 3 month Gold account, I was able to have a friend play with me on Halo 3.

Thats cause on Halo 3, people can play as your "Guest" so it still counts as you having a gold account and he is using your gold. But if your are both using different account for the same game, both would have to be Gold. Halo 3 is a unique case in that.
