4GB Lexar MSPD $40 Shipped from Frys.com

hmmm... is it worth the hassle to return my $61 one to Amazon and get this? I'll have to think about that.

Thanks for the info, I just purchased one. I bought the 2GB Lexar last week for $15 at frys...but I figured I'd pick up the 4gb one as well...its a great price. Plus, the memory stick arrived at my door about 36hrs after I ordered it...no lie! I ordered it at about 8pm one night last week, and two days later at about 8:30 am...a guy dropped it off. That's some fast shipping! :)

I think it was $35 before... i got that about three weeks ago, tested it and worked great, even came with a jacket, nice!

i think its worth to return it, since youre getting an extra 21 back :)

as for this deal im thinking maybe i should get another. i missed the $35 deal before of the same stick from frys.com.. hmmm

not really worth the effort returning to amazon and buy it from fry.com. Amazona charges you returning postage, so you probably end up saving $10 or so (on top of the headaches).

Yeah, i want more of those suckers too, b/c the PS3 uses them as well. I can just put family photos and videos on them. With the new FW, you can now access the PS3 medias via the PSP (i need another PSP to do this, since it requires a PSP FW upgrade as well).

Well, I for one don't check the "other" deals section, and I've seen memory stick deals posted here many times in the past.

okay?

I was just posting that this will probably be locked as it's been posted. And the other one was in the deals section last night.

just purchased mine. Thanks No Tax of Shipping Charges. 40 is a great deal for some sweet PSone games on my PSP. RE1 DC, RE2, & RE3 are awsome on my psp.

you know its really odd that when this thread gets posted in vgd thread more people view and post.. but when its originally posted in the other deals thread not as much view or posts.. i just think that these deals should be posted in the video game deals thread. TRUE they are not video games but then shouldn't all accessories be posted in Other Deals and Requests?

These really should be posted in the Video Game Deals thread as the vast majotiy of people on here would want them for their Sony game systems, not a digital camera, etc.

But, I guess the mods disagree? Shame. A lot of people miss them when they get shoved in here.

I would have missed it too..but I saw the ::thread moved:: notification in the gaming deals section...so that's I actually saw it there. I would have never seen it here in this section.

Lame. Was news of the $35 deal a few weeks back hidden away in the "other deals" forum (meaning most people probably missed out on it as a result)? :(

I don't know, but it was only that price for a fairly short time. But the time I found out about it, it had sold out. I agree that these belong in the video game bargains forum.

Again nice deal and very fast shipping I received my card today.
But I am having a strange problem with it, when I try to load up a game (ISO) it will not work and I get an error message "game could not be loaded"
Any one else have this problem or better yet know of any fix?
Any help would be great!

Have you used ISOs on another memory stick? (In other words, are you sure you have them converted correctly, put in the correct place, etc?)

can you say the numbers in parenthesis after it says "the game could not be started"

if its 800...etc. its an iso/system problem.

and also might i add this is a REPOST.

so LOCK

Why should they lock this thread when people are actually discussing things in it and your original post has been dead for the past several days?

ugh.. whatever.

keep discussing.

I have run ISO's on my 1GB Sandisk card with no problem...After doing some research it seems that the 4GB Lexar Platinum II card is hit or miss. Some people have problems with it not loading PSX games, others can load PSX and not ISOs. Still other users have NO issues with their card and can load PSX, ISOs and homebrew with no problem.
Since I can not run any of these items I plan to return the card and get another (Sandisk most likely) 4GB card!

Sorry for posting this in the wrong deals forum. I just assumed that because everybody uses this for teh PSP it would go best there not in this forum. Apologies if this caused any problems.

[quote name='Cpt Hooks']I have reformated many times with no success. As Imentioned some people have issues some do not.

I just got mine today and I can run everything on it :) How are you trying to load your isos though/what firmware do you have? I'm running 3.40OE-A, and it seems to work fine...had to place everything in the right folders though...as it gave me the same error you got otherwise. Its probably just the card though...glad I got lucky.
