Interesting think about Amazon. I had placed the items (Xenosaga I & II) in my cart when they were cheap and after the price jumped back up, the items were still at the original low price. Just pulled the trigger. :D

Perhaps this trick may work for all Amazon.com sold deals.

I also added in Pac-man World 2 for the free shipping. I've always wanted to snag Pac-man Vs. for cheap. Wee.
 
Amazon checkout was messed up for me. I Xenosaga in my cart cause it was listed for $9.98. Then it showed up for $14.98 so I was going to remove it but then it went back to $9.98. I was pretty happy with that. Unfortunately I missed out on Xenosaga II but that's okay.

Same here. Stuck 'em both in my cart earlier in the morning, then went back just now to checkout and order went through. Didn't know you could save stuff in cart for that long, but I guess I'm glad they did.

As a side note, I was looking around for things to bump up to free super saver shipping and found a rather messed up entry for Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth

It clearly says, "PSP", but it also clearly says "Platform: XBox 360", and "Valkyrie Profile: Silmeria". Anyways, it's a $1 off MSRP, so I decided to take a chance and stuck it in my cart in the event it really is Lenneth for PSP as even a dollar off w/free shipping and no tax is the cheapest I've seen so far. We'll see what happens.

And whoever said they hate amazon, my wallet agrees with you. :p
 
I also got the cheap price for Pac-man World 2. Hopefully I get it, because instead of just a price increase, the item is OOS from Amazon.

I don't like this "ships in 1 to 2 weeks" business. Now I have 3 games and an MP3 player that will take 2-3 weeks to arrive.
 
I've got this Xenosaga 1... disc, manual but not the original case... if anybody wants to trade/buy let me know. I wonder what a fair price would be though.
 
Since Amazon and TRU ended their arrangement, has anyone received a game from Amazon listed as "usually ships within 1 to 2 weeks"? It sounds like code for "we have no idea whether this item is actually in inventory."
 
My order is split; Xenosaga one can be canceled and has a later ship date, but Xenosaga two can not be canceled and will ship out soon.

The more boxes they ship in, the more I'll be able to ship my trades in...Amazon and Staples boxes are sturdy for shipping!

I assume Amazon doesn't have all games possible for everyone who orders it, but they anticipate shipments coming in soon to fill those orders. It costs money to store games in warehouses. This way saves money for Amazon and for customers, assuming the items are on sale and customers are willing to wait for 2 wks or so for the merchandise.
 
This definately got annoying. I ordered two copies of Xenosaga 2 and only one of them has a ship date (two weeks....)! The other one says 'Delivery Date Not Available.' Guess that's the same as backordered or "We'll cancel it in a week."
 
I wonder where Amazon is sourcing their video games now that they've split with TRU. I find it interesting that they immediately jacked the price back up and have to delay shipment.

I see Amazon has ties with Office Depot, Target, J&R, even GameStop in games sometimes.
 
the prices increased after a day in my cart... I just removed em , great prices but not really worth $15 for all those cutscenes
 
You shouldnt think of the Xenosaga series as "all those cutscenes" it's more of an interactive 6hour movie or anime and you only paying the price of a single dvd for it. Frankly not really so bad when you look at it like that unless you're opposed to deep storytelling.

You already received Xenosaga II from Amazon?! AFAIK Xenosaga II has not gotten the GH status yet.
 
I'm not too happy so far as I place a preorder for Prey and it hasn't been shipped and the site ndicates a 1-2 week wait. Maybe it'll ship earlier.

XS1 should be GH XS2 is probably on the GH list but havent gotten the new lable yet. (sales don't always determin GH status time is also a factor and with the next game comming soon, it's natural that they'd push it to the bargin bin so people will feel compelled to buy the 3rd game.)

If the game is massively backordered...then why does Amazon still list it on its site? It states 1 - 2 weeks estimated ship date, which is a joke.

Has anyone received XS I from Amazon?

Same here, and there shouldn't be an issue with getting it, since it's a GH game anyway.

We'll see what happens with this one. I know I can always get it at BB for $14.99 after GGC + tax, though I'd prefer to get this one from Amazon as well.

because the technology behind amazon is horrible. They have poor database content QA. Remember the Pac Man pic for certain games. Ibelieve the $6.98 listing was a mistake as it changed to $14.99 that day.

They are all over the map.

That's why they posted over 50% loss of profit this quarter, either we don't buy from them or we buy from them so cheap, they don't make enough profit.
