Ok I know this belongs in the Target Clearance thread but I thought this might be a good deal for people who missed the psone combo. I just picked up this monitor for $42 plus tax @ target. Although I haven't used it yet...I think it will work with any system as it has A/V input jacks. It also has it's own power supply, a headphone jack, and speakers. It has a nice stand and seems to be pretty mobile. It is made as an add-on monitor for a mobile car unit but looks like it would be good for gaming as well.

It was in the electronics section at mine. Near the TV's and stuff. Also this retailed for $180.00 so it is 75% off. They had a whole stack last week when they were $80 and only 3 left today so if your'e intrested I suggest you hurry.

If it is target clearance it is always a YMMV but...similar deals are usually found at all Targets (at least the ones that clearance electronics). This one was picked up at the Palisades Mall in West Nyack, NY.

Damn... I'd like to look into one of those. More convienient for playing when the TV's are taken. It'd also be nice if I end up w/o a TV when I move...

and how large is a PSone screen?

this one looks pretty nice, but i doubt my Target has it on clearance, if at all, since my Target sucks ass.

I'm pretty sure this was the Eddie Bauer screen that has been availabe for $80 for about two weeks...it was due for another drop...if someone picks this up I'd love to know the quality of the screen.

Yes this is the Eddie Bauer screen. I hooked it up to my dreamcast. It works pretty well. The speakers are great. The screen is nice. Text is a bit tough to read. I like the build of the thing. I like how it can free stand and all. It is light but doesn't feel cheap. It has an on off button and two headphone jacks. Pretty cool overall. The screen quality is a little less clear than the psone screen but overall it's not too shabby for $40.

I found 2 for 40-45 Each at a Target in Wallnut Creek, Caliifornia right off Main Street near the freeway. I didn't buy one since I recently got the PS1/LCD combo.

I used to work for Target, so I'll pass on what the "clearance pros" did at my store. They find good stuff on clearance and then stash it away somewhere else in the store. For example, take that LCD screen over to the furniture section and hide it in the top shelf of one of the demo models. Then, come back in a week and scan your screen to see if the price has dropped. You run the risk of someone else finding your goodie and buying it, but I've seen this technique work for lots of people.

They had about 15 about a week ago for the $42 price at the target around my home. I went back today and there is just one left with a beat up box. However I did score a Virgin MP3 player for $30. It goes without saying that the electronics section at Target is where you need to go to find a deal.

A friend and I both grabbed one of these at my Target last night for $25 each. I have a sinking suspicion the guy rang them up wrong - he scanned them w/ his hand scanner after I made him, said they WERE cheaper than the $89 price tag, and when I asked how much they were he paused a minute and goes "It looks like they're $25".

So extreme YMMV on that price, but you never know.... BTW, hooked it up to my PS2, and the picture and sound are both excellent. Then again, who can complain for $25??? ;)

EDIT: BTW, forgot to mention but this was in Montgomery, AL.

I'm going to check my local Target today. And if they are $25 (holy schniikes!) then I might even travel to another Target down the road. Or that other one over there... There are 3 within like 15 minutes from where I live so hopefully at least one has this deal!
