I liked it better when they were free...

Oh well, thanks for the heads up I'll probably head over and pick one of these up.

Nothing great, might pick up DaVinci Code.

yeah free was nice...they were usually older movies though for free...still nice though.
I am guessing this is for preowned dvds?
Correct. Might have accidentally taken that out of the OP when I updated. Added the whore icon.
I didn't get any coupons...
I didn't either.
I'm on the "cheap ass plan", also known as "two-per-month". Maybe that's why?
Coupons have been sent out to members for Superman Returns, Clerks II, The Ant Bully and Miami Vice.
Got mine today. I'm going to get Clerks 2 within the next week. Its $20 at all the stores. I'll pay $6 for a used copy.

I refuse to buy Blockbuster's ugly ass used DVDs in the ugly ass cases they sell them in. Come on! The ugly plastic completely dulls the luster of the cover insert, and there's a hole on the bottom of their case. It's like I'm having to make excuses and swear to people that I didn't just forget to return the movie.

If all I cared about was having a physical copy of the disc, I would burn the damn things. But I actually care about what the collection looks like.

I don't know what there is to complain about. You're getting a relatively new release for extremely cheap. Besides, the cases aren't bad at all. There is barely a noticeable difference unless you are really particular about your DVD collection.

I never got the coupons, so I emailed them. Got a response back in like a hour. See below. It blows. Just last weekend I was going to grab Miami Vice and Clerks II in the "2 for $20" deal, but now I don't know.

Thank you for contacting BLOCKBUSTER Online Customer Care.

I appreciate the time you have taken to inform us about your concern. Previously Viewed DVD (PVD) coupons are only side privileges and are not actually included in the subscription plan. PVD coupons are given to random customers once in a while, and in such cases, may only be redeemed at participating and selected Blockbuster Stores.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

I'm not sure how they decide who gets what. I've been a member for over two years now and have gotten every coupon and discount available (including those "pick a movie to purchase free"). I also have gotten two free game rentals a month the entire time I've been with BBO, even when they got rid of free game rentals.

Same unit cost, but I have to buy more. Not that any of those interest me.

Since apparently my store isn't participating in the $3.99 deal, they are offering the 3 for $20 on any PVD $14.99 and under (when you return a DVD in it's envelope). That comes out to $6.66 per movie which isn't bad. I can't complain.

$3.99 movies (must use coupon from email; expires March 12):

Firewall (WS 2006), The Pink Panther (2006), End of the Spear (2006), Rumor Has It (WS 2005), The Producers (WS 2005), Match Point (WS 2005), Mrs. Henderson Presents (2005), Aeon Flux (WS Charlize Theron 2005)

Nothing really interests me, but $3.99 is a good price (equal to or less than the price of a rental).

Are they 3.99 each or 2 for $8?

The e-mail I got didn't say anything about them being $3.99 each only 2 for $8.

I care becase Aeon Flux is the only thing on that list that I want and don't already have.

I've seen all of those movies in the 2 for 20 and even half of those in the 4 for 20 in my local blockbuster. It really is an amazing deal
