5 bucks off any new (EDIT: 19.99 and up=dead deal) Xbox [email protected]

Doesn't seem to work with used games...And there's hardly anything that is worth getting that is still listed as new on the site.

Edit: However it does seem to work with $4.99 games, so all you pay is $2.99 Value shipping (or whatever) + tax. $3.17 for something that is listed as $4.99 doesn't seem bad.

Edit 2: Sadly there's only 3-4 $4.99 Xbox games listed.

Cool, I'll update the op to reflect it doesn't work with old. Unfortunately I'm at work and I can't get the checkout page to work.
Will it give you more than one discount if you have say two new games in stock?

Not bad with Rainbow Six Lockdown for 3.xx shipped

No, it only takes $5.00 off even with 2 games in your cart
I wonder if "new" from gs.com means sealed & MINT or opened and trashed "new" like in B&M... anyone know?
It means new, as in "brand new and sealed".

Can anyone check other platforms and see if the coupon works for any other old generation? Also do accessories work? Figures that checkout won't work for me at work.

So I put True Crime NY into my cart and instead of taking $5 off, they jacked me with a $10 'Handling Fee' lmao. They turned a $5 game with free shipping into a $13 game! No thanks.

It could be either, there's chances that they are returns from store inventory - I've had it happen before

Same here.
Did this work with only one $4.99 game in your cart or do you need more than one item?
It'll work with just one 4.99 game. You pay shipping+tax.
why do they have to put snoop dog in it? that's him on the True Crimes cover?
...No. That's the main character, Marcus Reed, on the cover. Snoop Dogg is an unlockable character in the crappy original. There's a mini-game with the New Jersey-born rapper 'Redman' in it though.

They have stopped the coupon from being used on titles less than $19.99

they have added this: "$5 Off your purchase of any In-Stock Xbox game $19.99 or more. May not be combined with other offers. Limited time only."

Well, not anymore.

I decided to go for True Crime, just so GS would waste money sending it to me.

I added it to my cart, put in the coupon, and logged in.

Then it emptied my cart.

So I put the game and coupon back and went to checkout. Now it says

$5 Off your purchase of any In-Stock Xbox game $19.99 or more. May not be combined with other offers. Limited time only.

Looks like someone caught on.

Its apprently so, you can see at the bottom of the detail section that pops up that they added words because its different print. under terms and conditions:

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
Terms of offer subject to change at any time. No dealers or resellers, please. Only 1 discount per order - may not be combined with other offers or promotions. Offer good online only - not valid in stores. Games must be priced $19.99 or more. Offer excludes Xbox 360 titles.

you would think they would at least use the right FONT..

This sucks. I really wanted True Crime. Oh well, I'll update the op.

heh I actually just beat NYC like 3 days ago. I agree the game gets a bad rap but doesn't deserve it. But I don't understand why people bag on the first one either. I thought the first one was great. Better than NYC.

Yeah, the first one was far superior. Christopher Walken is hilarious. It's not that the second one sucks, it's just that the first one was a (relatively) fresh take on a playground style GTA game and NYC was just another gangsta game.

Which is better free shipping or $5 off?
I have never bought online before and guessing that standard shipping for a game isn't more than $5.

Their cheapest shipping is 2.99, so you'd be saving a couple of dollars. You're probably better shopping elsewhere online or looking for a better deal because two dollars off of MSRP plus shipping and tax for a poor selection of 19.99 and up games sucks a lot.
You'd be better off heading to Amazon if you can't find a deal for the game you specifically want. No tax or shipping charge.

anyone buy and receive any of these? I was able to order True Crime:NY and use the coupon & was billed $3.17 but my pkslip said $8.16
I called to see what was going on and the CSR said what my confirmation said I was charged is what she saw that was billed too ...
