FYE is having a sale on it's clamshell games: get $5 off 2, $10 off three, or $5 off of each game if you buy 4 or more. Here's the thing: bring up 4 or more for $4.99, and they'll all be $0.01! I picked up 27 titles(WOOOOOOHOOO!!!) with just a few duplicates, all just a cent. Mostly Agetec, Mud Duck and Bam! titles, all PS1:
Action Bass
Big Bass Fishing
Board Game Top Shop
Billiards
Card Games
Puzzle Star Sweep
Baldies
Kiss Pinball
Kickboxing
Street Racquetball
Putter Golf
Mobile Armor
Chess
All-Star Slammin' D-Ball
Austin Powers Pinball
Extreme Go-Kart Racing
Largo Winch .//Commando Sar
Martian Gothic Unification
Jimmy White's Cueball 2
Big Strike Bowling
Ford Racing
A1 Racing
Snowboarding

The best finds for not a penny (after $5 off) were:
Sorcerer's Maze - PS1: $2
XS Junior League Dodgeball - PS1: $2
Family Card Games Fun Pack - PS1: $2
Rollcage Stage II - PS1: $2
ATV Racers - PS1: $2
Gekioh Shooting King - PS1: $5
Sol Divide - PS1: $5
Wu Tang Shaolin Style - PS1: $10
Evergrace - PS2: $5
Hunter The Reckoning Wayward - PS2: $5
Fur Fighters Viggo's Revenge - PS2: $5
Blowout - PS2: $5
Syberia - XBOX - $10

Bear in mind, of course, YMMV. The signs for this sale were photocopies placed on top of the two square clamshell kiosks. The only fineprint said "Only games $19.99 and under", and nothing about $4.99 titles, so if a manager tries to call you on it, you'd win the argument (or get thrown out trying).
I tried this a couple days ago ($4.99 games) and was fed the line "You think we're just gonna give you a free game?" to which I replied "if it's within the scop of the deal, yes."
You know, it's people like you that make coming here that much more enjoyable... ^_^

Tried this deal again today at a Coconuts and the manager was a jerk. He wouldn't give me the games for free. He kept saying it over and over. Although I did grab one $9.99 game. The sign they had for the stock up sale didn't say this rack only. He kept saying it is only this rack blah blah blah but it didn't say that on the sign. It said the ususal deal then it said only blister packs (which they were in) $19.99 or less. I am trying to decide if I should go back after work and try to fight them on it furthur. Although the sign may be down by now.

call corporate. they responded to me very quickly, i think they're used to this happening by now...

they said the manager was wrong and that the sale did include the 4.99 games, they told me i could go pick them up at my convenience. im assuming they repremanded the manager because he lied many times about diffrent things, and i reported him to the mall for false advertising.

side note- 7 of those game and a cheapo mem card i threw in went for 15.50 on ebay. although i kinda miss the bowling one now...

I might hit up a different coconuts first after work...but if they don't have anything I will go back. Not sure if it is worth the trip again but I did want Wild 9 which they had.

So, this sale is still going on? I can only get out Sunday (damn lack of car), and I want to be sure to bring my bitc..er mom, because she's great at arguing these things.

lol...its still going on. You just need to find a store that hasnt either cought on or wasnt over priced in the first place.

And wild 9 rocks hardcore. That and earthworm jim make me miss the olden days :)

I would think the deal is still on everywhere but YMMV.

HAHA I bought a Genesis just because the GBA Earthworm Jim wasn't as good as the original. When I read the review of Wild 9 I knew I just had to get it.

Yea, I figure I may be lucky as A) I'm in the sticks and B) most employees are nice or idiots. I have yet to have a bad experience at TRU, BB, CC, EB, GS, FYE or any other store, and I shop A LOT.

Wild 9 does pwn, for all of the half hour I played it. I have a copy, but no case, which pisses me off, so I may buy a new one and ditch the old.

Thanks OP!
Just got back from the Tuttle Mall FYE in Columbus Ohio. They still had a few 4.99 titles left. I picked up a couple of reg. 14.99 games in my stack. The guy ringing me up called in some backup, but the guy said that as long as I was buying stuff that wasn't reg 4.99 and "taking advantage" that I could have the $4.99 titles for a penny each. Not too shabby!

The 4.99 stuff is definately nothing to lose sleep over, but it shouldn't take a lot to get one cent worth of entertainment value out of them (and they'll make good trade in fodder in a few weeks).

An update to my situation and earlier post... I complained via FYE's website, and I was PROMPTLY asked for my mailing address. Days later I got a formal apology letter and a $25 gift certificate. I guess ultimatley that's better than a dozen games I really would never want or play unless they're free. 8)

Not bad. $10 more than i made on ebay...but when you add in the Gamerush trade-ins i probably came out just a bit better :)
