5 wii games for the rest of the year what are they?

if u could only get 5 wii games for the rest of the year what would they be? im sure everyone is gonna say that two of them, will be super mario galaxy and super smash brawl. so what other ones do u think will be the best and worth not just a purchase but a first day purchase?
 
I currently have:
Twilight Princess
Resident Evil 4
Mario Strikers Charged.. soon.. (shipped to wrong place, but should get it soon)

Waiting for:
Umbrella Chronicles
Super Mario Galaxy
Medal of Honor 2
Battalion Wars 2
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
 
Mario Galaxy and Smash Bros are the only two coming out that appear worth buying to me.

Zelda, Super Paper Mario and Metroid or all release thus far that have been worth buying to me, and I could have done without SPM as I didn't end up liking it all that much.

S--t, whoever says the Wii is lacking games is nuts. Sorry, but I can't narrow it down much more. There is a s--t load coming out for the Wii that I want. This could change depending on horrible reviews, but man there are some real good games coming out.

Heh. Sadly, this isn't even a limiter. It's sort of tough to come up with 5 Wii games I'd buy.

I suppose it'd be:

Super Mario Galaxy
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Wii Zapper (Does that count?)
Umbrella Chronicles
DDR Hottest Party.

Edit: Oh, I forgot to include GHIII (which I have already preordered). I suppose I'd put that in place of DDR Hottest Party, or the Zapper if that doesn't count as a game.
 
damn schuerm how will u find the time to play all of those games? would anyone suggest getting resident evil 4 now when umbrella chronicles is around the corner? and does anyone think manhunt 2 will be worth 40 bucks? and how about the simpsons game? right now im definetly preodering smg and ssbb but everything else is wait and see

I won't find time and I won't buy them all, but I want all of them. All look extremely good to me.

If I had to narrow it down to 5 it would be

MLB Power Pros (already pre-ordered)
Super Mario Galaxy
RE: UC
Zack and Wiki
Guitar Hero III

Sucks because I just got a Wii again and I haven't played Super Paper Mario or Metroid Prime 3. I am playing Prince of Persia right now and I want to play Alien Syndrome but judging by the reviews I will wait for a further price drop. There are a bunch like that though that I want to play.

I don't really care for anything else on day one of it's release. Zack and Wiki looks cool though, I might pick that up.
 
well its not five that u want its 5 that u are absolutely gonna get and it can be games that already came out that u still plan to get

MLB Power Pros comes out Oct. 3rd and is in stores Oct 4th. It's a japanese game or something. Looks like it will be real good if you like baseball games. I had never heard of it until someone put up another post about it.

I'd put Wii Sports, Zelda and RE4 on the list, But Wii Sports comes with the console, I had Zelda since launch and I bought RE4 this past weekend with my Wii. I also really want to try other games, but they may not quite be of the "must have first day" status (i.e. GHIII, Manhunt 2, RE:UC, etc.)
 
There's honestly not five Wii games that I feel are worth paying for, and more importantly there are not five Wii games that are even worth my time. The only game coming out on the Wii that I'm interested in is Mario Galaxy.

Probably in the same boat as me. Loves the big Nintendo games like Mario, Metroid and Zelda, and willing to keep the Wii around just to play them.

Wish I could ween myself off their franchises, as there hasn't been much I've enjoyed on the N64, GC or Wii (so far) besides them.

But what can I say, they make the best games in the business, and if not for their grade A games I probably would have dropped gaming all together years ago.

Unless I'm getting you confused with someone else... But I don't think so.

I personally can't believe he isn't interested in RE4, SPM, MP3 at the very least. But I guess I can kind of see his point, even though I don't agree at all.

MP3 is fantastic, but I can see the other 2.

RE4 is great, but he may have already played the GC or PS2 version and have no desire to replay.

SPM was just ok IMO, I'd give it a 7.5. And the paper mario series has always been a bit of a love it hate it affair.

I've considered it many times... I think the real reason I've haven't sold it is because I have every single console Zelda game and they can all be played on the system. All the actual Wii, Wii games are garbage to me. I use it 99.9% to play GCN, N64, SNES, and NES games. That, and I don't have/don't want a PayPal account, and I'm definitely not trading it in to EBGames/Gamestop to get raped. If Mario Galaxy fails to impress me I'll definitely get rid of it.
 
Just throw it on Craig's list and sell it locally. They go on there for about the same as eBay and then you can just get straight cash from the seller.

I'm going that route if Mario Galaxy doesn't impress me, and may go that route in early 2008 after that and Smash Bros even if both are great.

Interested in NiGHTS, but will not be purchasing it on day 1. Interested in Geometry Wars, but won't spend $40 on it. Simpsons Game, maybe, depending on reviews, but don't know if I'd get it for the Wii or the PS3. Ditto for Lego Star Wars. And won't spend $50+ on either of them, either.

If I had to buy smash 5 times over, I would...just to prevent myself from the other lackluster games on the wii (Mario Galaxy excluded)

Obviously Super Mario Galaxy. That's a midnight Supercenter purchase. (November 13 will be huge!)

Super Smash Bros Brawl falls in the same boat. I'll be up all night after midnight playing online with y'all.

I'm also very excited about the Wii Zapper and Link's Crossbow Training. I know, I know, it doesn't really look like a title that's meant to impress or make people excited, but it looks like fun - the Zapper shell seems like it'll add a little bit to the experience.

In that same vein, my fourth pick is either RE: UC or Ghost Squad. I love on-rails shooters, bottom line...so whichever turns out to be the better of the two, I'd take.

Finally, Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games. Seems kinda strange to take this over, say, Battalion Wars 2, but it looks like it'll be fun. As long as the events are not crippled control-wise, I figure it'll be the strongest minigame collection on the console this side of Wii Sports.

There are several more beyond these that I want, though.

There's also the new Nights game, which I think looks terrible, but maybe Sega will pull things together by release. I never did get to play the original on the Saturn.

How much is Trauma Center at GameCrazy? I saw it for $26.99 before edge card at Gamestop today (not sure when that happened as I don't remember ever seeing it below $39.99).
 
I just picked up MLB Power Pros.

- SSBM

and Im done for the year. 5 Wii games over the next 3 months is a stretch...
