i have a 50% add on trade in credit for gamestop and it wouldn't work. The guys there tried calling the head office but they weren't there is the coupon real?

I received a flyer in the Washington Post about a month ago and it said the coupons were only valid at certain gamestops/eb. So I doubt it would be accepted everywhere.
