$50 of $99 or more at ShopNBC.com (GBA SP for $49.99!, PS2 for $130)

How long ago? Do they keep coming back in stock?
Damn, almost got a Cobalt SP through this time...
heres a second method that seemed to work.....use the add to cart button and go from there. if it says out of stock go back and click add to cart until you do get it in your cart. add promotion with the same process and then purchase item with the same process....

I dont' think they are actually in stock.. probably server glitch. I've had several successes, but I couldn't complete the purchase.

I just got the order in.. this method worked after 3 tries... wow

Thanks dragonzknight, your method worked despite a few glitches, such as my subtotal adding $50 instead of subtracting before it got to order total. The only problem I forsee is that I did not get an order # on my receipt, but an N/A. I assume that would be updated when they send the e-mail, so once again, I must resort to hope.

Mine popped up just about 5 pm... but then by the time I created an account and everything they were sold out.

I had a GBA SP *in* my cart and went to check out and the web said it was no longer available and that I should make my purchases in a timely fashion. Less than a minute between adding it to my cart and proceeding to checkout isn't timely enough ?!?

Apparently not. Seriously though, I'm sorry you didn't get the GBA, but that message is a standard one that they give to everyone whose cart item sells out before finishing checkout, don't take it too personally.

bobslidell: The ps2 Squaresoft bundle is not absurdly overpriced after the coupon (the other bundles are pretty high, though). For $210 shipped one gets the PS2, a 3rd party dvd remote, an extra 3rd party controller, and 2 great games (Final Fantasy X and Kingdom Hearts). Not the deal of the century, but not bad.
geez, everytime i try to check out, it bring me to the opening page. i think imma just call them to place my order :(
I wouldn't bother, keep trying the site. I called earlier, it seemed like the customer service rep checked the site when I asked about the GB SP and said it was out of stock, end of phone call.

where are the games at?

I was thinking about getting twin snakes, the new harvest moon, and possibly a $20 game.

It only works on a single item worth $99 or more. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I tried coupling computer software with a total > $100 and it wouldn't work.

I ended up purchasing a nice learther jacket which was exactly 99 to begin with instead :)

an sp for $50!!! and i missed out? i think im gonna cry....

how long does the promo code last for anyway..

Add Playstation 2 to your cart.
Add Playstation 2 with Network Adaptor to your cart.
Add Gamecube - Black to your cart.
Add Gameboy Advance SP - Cobalt to your cart.

This was happening earlier when the servers were overloaded, so it seems to be an issue with lag, not the links -- I tested them all.

Best advice I can give you is to retry the links every couple minutes, or possibly wait until the wee hours of the morning.

Interesting, I hadn't noticed that the servers were tossing exceptions earlier. I guess I was more concerned about getting a GB SP than the actual error :)

in any case, thanks for consolidating the links, I might go after the XBox ;)
fuck the site isn't lagging :/ Deal is dead?
The site may not appear to be lagging client-side, but server-side, there are severe issues with e-commerce.

Every time I add a console to my shopping cart or try to access it to proceed to checkout, the error message appears. However, the homepage still shows that I have X amount of items in my cart, and you'll also notice that trying to shop for anything else on the site will yield the same results.

Again, all I can say is to keep trying -- especially when there's not a lot of traffic.
But I noticed that the PS2 alone isn't listed in the product items...did they take it off?
They did remove it from the search, but adding the item directly to your shopping cart will work -- at least when the site is functioning.

Every other aspect of the site is working fine right now, but none of those links seem to be operational.
The cart isn't working though. Try to access it.

You're right...it's not even acting as a link anymore. That's odd...does this site have hours of operation?

*Edit: Nevermind...it lets me click through now...says I have 11 items in my cart (all the times I tried to add those items and kept getting the error) but I can't access them...hmmm...)

those links are still giving me errors... anyway to add the items into ur cart by putting in product numbers?

EDIT: i c now my cart actually does have 10 items in there, which means the links are working just that i cant c them.

Didn't get anything game-related but that swank portable DVD player was just too good to pass up after coupon :)

I decided to try out those links, just for giggles. For those others who have tried it, when you look at your cart, notice this showing for each item:

"You should have this item in your home by January 15, pending credit verification."

(underline added for emphasis)

I can't get any of that jack to work..i see no ps2, xbox, or gba sp's..jobbed yet again...

odibil i didn't ask for you to spam your post....but I stick with what I said and I got jobbed. How can I add anything if I can't find it or website doesn't display any system....as for your r&d it seems to should go the way as many of these crappy games.......back to the drawing board......(Donald Trump)>>YOU'RE FIRED!!!

I tried to use the coupon code on a $99.99 item and it came up with an error stating that I need an item that is $99...WTF??

jeug
I can't get any of that jack to work..i see no ps2, xbox, or gba sp's..jobbed yet again...
Look back on the previous page of this thread where I've listed direct links to add the consoles directly to your shopping cart. I can't keep spamming the same text.

If you are getting Server "/" Errors, the server is overloaded, so try back later.

As of 10AM EST (03/17/04) the links and shopping cart are working properly.

Edit - The coupon code itself doesn't seem to be working for the consoles anymore -- "You have not met the minimum purchase amount of $99.00" -- More information later.
still no confirmation email, and nothing on the order history. I guess I am not getting my GBA SP.
might want to make sure you're not charged for it.
code is dead
Code isn't dead as it still works with some jewelry and apparel, but most of the gaming/electronics items seem to have been withdrawn from the coupon.

I love when these idiot retailers come out with a coupon code and then decide they're going to restrict it to certain items only. Why bother with a coupon at all? Good PR I guess but they just end up alienating people. I don't want a f**king Kitchenaid, I want a GBA SP. Bastards.

NBC totally got hosed on this deal! It's so funny how unprepared they seemed to be for all of the ordering. It will be interesting to see how many of the orders actually get shipped!

i bet there were just hoping people buy there $500 plus things and get $50 off of that, and never even thought people might take advantage of the lower priced items.

Nono, I meant for the game related stuff, the stuff that matters to everyone here :p .

I was hoping for a $130 PS2, I'm not buying until I can find a new one for under $150 :(.
Damn, too bad this place doesn't seem to sell Steel Battalion...
Diiz, funny you mention Steely Bats. I just preordered Steely Bats two days ago at EBgames.com. They had a coupon for 10% of any preordered games. That brought Steely Bats down to $179.99. Then I used $180 in gift vouchers that I got using that 4 for 1 trade-in with CC games at EBgames.com when it was still good. So, I actually got Steely Bats for $72 dollars plus shipping makes it $89.99. Best deal for Steely Bats I have seen ever. You might be able to catch the 10% off preorders code again sometime in the future. But watch out sometimes Steely Bats is exempt from the 10% of preorder code. I just happened to catch it at the right time. :D
