50% off all ps1 games at FYE/Coconuts.

I was at my fye in brooklyn (georgetown area to be exact) and I noticed all the ps1 games were 50% off. I picked up DDR Konamix for 8.13, oddly it was 27.99 so Im guessing this sale could be 50% to 75% off. My fye takes ps1 games and puts 3 of them together in shrinkwrap calling it a amazing sales deal, some looked like they came that way but others looked like they were assembled such as the pack with MM Legends, Soul Reaver and a Bust a Move (if I didnt have them already I would have got it). Those 3 packs were 14.99 so im guessing about 8 bucks for 3 games as well if they are in a pack.

Yeah I've seen this, it was awhile ago though. One of those 3 packs had a game called Team Buddies or something, isn't that rare?
 
I JUST now got back from my local Coconuts (coconuts and FYE are owned by the same company). They are also having this deal. I picked up Final Fantasy Origins, Resident Evil 2, and, here is the kicker, Grandia. FFO and RE2 were marked 14.99, rang up to 7.50 each.
Grandia was marked 34.99 and rang up at $5. Awesome as heck.
Now I need to check my FYE as soon as possible.
 
At Coconuts all games were new. I know they sell used PS1 games at the FYE I go to, so I'd assume that they would be marked off in addition to the new games.

Games are new, and I was informed by my friend mike who I called and told about the deal that he nabbed the triple pack with bust a move since he loves it, sorry dude.
 
Great deal on Grandia - damnit, the FYE I went to had a few non-gh origins I wsa waffling on getting with store credit. Should have picked them up, but thought they were 15

A big thanks to the OP. I went to my FYE to check things out and found a new Mega Man X6 for $15 after the half-off. But they also had a used MMX6 in excellent condition for only $5. I bought that instead, but I never would have found it if it weren't for this.

I think I'm gonna stop in and finally pick up that copy of Tail Concerto I've been eyeing for a few years now. Ooh, and Bomberman Fantasy Race.

This is pretty hot if at all FYEs.

The last FYE I went to had a copy of the Arc The Lad Collection for $50 new. If I could get that collection for $25, it'll make up for missing out on Baten Kaitos.
 
I've been waiting on Battle Arena Toshinden 3 to drop in price for literally 8 billion years. Time to go in for the kill, baby. Thanks Nirvanaguy.

Arc the Lad has actually been $30 for at least two years. At one point it even dropped to $15 for a few weeks.

a couple of months ago i found a very near mint copy of silent hill used for $5 at fye

that place is a treasure trove waiting to be shaken and disturbed

You're this police dog named Waffle who is going after the Black Cat Gang. I actually enjoyed this game until the last level. It was super frustrating. But I did complete it. I picked it up cheap years ago at Babbages. Its a fun little game and I'd recommend it for an under $10 price tag.

I can confirm that it this applies to new games. I'm not sure if it applies to used PS1 games, but if they are tying to clear out their stock then it would make sense.

No, it really has been 8 billion years. At the dawn of time, it was just me and BAT3 at an FYE, but it was still $15, which was way more than I had at the time.

Semicolon I got a sealed BoF4 from FYE a couple years ago for $8.50 or so. Sex. Check this out guys, you may get lucky.
 
I went to the FYE in midtown manhattan during lunch but didn't really find anything worthwhile. I'll have to check some of the other ones in the area.

It varies cause at my fye they werent doing it on psone games.

Its been shaken several times, anime sale, the trade in deals, if anything fye is merely underrated.

King of Fighters '99, Kickboxing, Soul Blade (GH) 3 Pack.

Kinda sucks that the greatest hits game discs aren't in color aswell. CTR looks ugly.
 
Checked out the local FYE & coconuts. Man, I so wanted a Tail Concerto, but neither store has ever had *anything* of interest to me (they're so bad I've only bothered looking twice before)...and no go this time either. What was interesting is that both stores had the same games in the same 3-packs. Seems like corporate (or at least regional) management decreed what should be packaged together, not random employees.

For anyone near Exton PA, the coconuts might be worth checking out. They had all the games The VGM bought -- a decent stock just nothing remotely rare. The KOF'99 pack he/she mentioned definitely looked to be the nicest one.

For any Fort Wayne CAGs, don't bother going to FYE. When they moved the store to the new spot they got ride of all their psx games. They didn't have room is what I was told.

yea i went there yesterday and found that out .. Picked up 4 blank CD RS for 1.99 though ( though i wasted 2 of them )

It is a good pack. I already got Soul Blade however mine is beat up so it doesn't hurt to have a spare. The kickboxing game doesn't look that bad either. I wish someone would get me the Arc of the Lad collection and not try to make a profit off me. Cmon, one of you can do it, don't be so greedy. Oh and I'm a guy by the way

It should actually be $15 now. The sticker may have said $50 but the actual price was $29.99.

I picked up a new Trap Gunner for $7.50 (or $6.75 after Club FYE discount).

I also picked up a three pack that included Board Game Top Shop, and Card Games Fun Pack for $7.50.
