Until September 5th, FYE will be running a 50% off sale on nearly all of their stock of ADV, Funimation, Geneon, Viz & Media Blasters stock. I found way too many series to mention. It seemed to range from older stuff to releases from a few months ago. Most of the regular dvds ranged from $13.99-14.99, Vol X w/ boxes averaged $20-25, and Boxsets were as low as $50. They had nearly all the Funimation LE's (Trinity Blood, Basilisk, Speed Grapher) for $15, definately a good choice if you dont want to wait for your Rightstuf order to ship. After my binge at Moviestop i went semi light and only bought the Samurai 7 boxset which was only $50. Of course, backstage pass takes off another 10%. If say you're looking for part of a series you know is discounted but is not in stock, they can special order it for the 50% off price (takes a week at most to get the order in).

If people want to start up a list of the clearanced items they find, just mention them here and ill update the op. Maybe if i find myself with some free time after work ill go with pen and paper and write down all that i find. If you know anyone who works at FYE, ask them if they can print out the "DVD PERIOD 10 SP" list, that should be the one that has every anime title that is clearanced.

Actually, you missed out on Trigun. They had the Trigun LE tins for $45 total back in July. Theyre still the same price, but instead of $45 for both, its $45 each.

Theyre coming out with a new Evangelion boxset in November, so you may want to hold out on that as well.

I swear that stuff at the bottom wasn't there when I first posted oh well. Too bad there are no FYE's near me, I would like to get Maburaho, and maybe AMG season 1 collection. Too bad almost all FYEs I've ever been to had a very crappy anime section. Forget AMG, 170$/2 = 85 and that's still wayyyy too much to pay for something that will come in a very cheap box later this year. 11/21 (i think) they're releasing a economy box for 60$, I don't care if their econo boxes are ugly as sin, I'm not paying 85+$ for the pretty one.
 
If anyone finds Lupin(tv show) vol. 2-5 at FYE for 50% off I'll gladly buy them from you. I'd rather pay a cag than try to special order it.

Mmm, I didn't know they had the Lupin tv show on DVD. I thought they only had the movies by Funimation... I'll keep on eye on it!
 
Is this like a clearance thing? I'm not going to be able to get to FYE for a while, and I'm afraid all the good stuff will be gone by the time I get there :(

I'm sorry if I have misread the OP and this was already stated but I did a price check for the Azumanga Daioh complete collection and Full Metal Panic(1st season) boxset at my local FYE and sadly, they were full price. The FYE near me can get behind sometimes though(they still have the Geneon B1G1 sign up).

I believe the E7 dvds were $10-15 depending on the volume.
 
I noticed yesterday at a FYE near me that various (seems at random) series were stickered with a sale price (50%). But, there seemed to be no rhyme or reason to which series from which company were on sale.

This particular FYE has a decent selection of anime...but only, maybe, 25% of the DVDs were stickered with a sales price. Maybe, if I check back today or tomrrow, the employees would have stickered more stuff. Hopefully...Moonphase Vol. 2-5 are still there.
 
Gah nothing here. I checked for the Kitty Media(Media Blasters hentai) dvd prices and they rang up full price. The only ones 50% off had a red sticker with the sale price on them. I did see Lupin tv show dvds half off but they didn't have the ones I was looking for. Once again if anyone can get me volumes 2-5 that would be awesome.
 
Estarland has a good selection of the Lupin TV dvds for $4~ each after B1G1F.

It was posted on DVDtalk, but for those who dont read there, Naruto boxsets 1 & 2 were only $22.99 & 24.99 each. Dragonball Z Season 2 was $24.99 (i think the S1 boxset was somewhere in that area as well).

Someone on DVDtalk was able to get them to print out the entire clearance list, but they didnt ask to take it with them >

As far as our FYE stores here, I didn't see any Ergos on sale.
 
I updated the OP with the DVD's that WTK was able to find, note that it is not the entire list. Theres a lot of good deals on there though (ill probably have to go back for Desert Punk).

It seems that it only lists titles in stock or in transit. So my list should give you a feel of what will be on sale. The titles shouldn't differ too much unless your local store has tons of anime in stock.

The main FYE in manhattan, NYC was not running the 50% anime sale. I even asked some of the sales associates and they never heard of any such sale. I guess that particular FYE is not participating in it.

But, the FYE in my neighborhood was running the sale and I picked up a few things.

Prices I found at the FYE I bought stuff at that are a little different than what WTK posted:
1) Moonphase Vol. 1 LE - $17.49 (no sales sticker, but that price rang up)
2) Moonphase Vol. 5 - $13.49
3) Daphne in the Brilliant Blue (complete set) - $69.99

Also...some Geneon DVDs had sale stickers of $27.99 which I found odd.

I was going to ask if I could get a print out of the full sale list, but the store was closing in 10 min when I got there, so I just grabbed what I could find, paid and left.
 
Went to the Moviestop in Hialeah, and picked up The Bandai Legends box sets of Witch Hunter Robin, and Outlaw Star, and the .Hack Roots 2,3 at half off. However, for some reason, not all bandai scanned at discount. Saber Marionete J, and Scrapped Princess werent on sale, and strangely used anime titles were also scanning at nearly half off marked prices. All in all a great sale, thank you OP.

did you bother to check any of the dvds with their product scanners? or did you go in expecting the dvds to already be stickered?

the last time FYE ran this 50% off sale was some months back, and, when i went into that same exact manhattan store, none of the dvds on the list were stickered nor were there any signs of some sort advertising the sale. i pretty much took a stack of whatever i was looking for to a scanner and checked prices. hell, out of the 4 other FYE's i went into (Bay Terrace, Lake Success, Jackson Hgts, and Roosevelt Field) only Bay Terrace bothered to label anything even if it wasn't everything. so basically, you have to check everything with a scanner. a lot of these NY stores don't bother with signage and the employees don't know jack about shit.

I expected to see the dvds already stickered since the FYE in Astoria had most of the DVDs stickered with the sales price (then again the Astoria store is smaller than the Manhattan one). The only DVD I bought that wasn't stickered was Moonphase Vol. 1 with Box.

I'll check again this week and scan whatever DVDs I want to see the price.

On a side-note...I like your avatar ZR0 Limit. =D
 
I was at FYE today and they didn't have this sale. They had $5 off a few random volumes but that's it. The disappointment crushed me like a boulder when they price checked Get Backers season 1.
