50% off most games at Borders (RE4, MGS 3, MP2, Halo 2)

I did a search on this, and nothing showed up, so i hope this hasnt been posted yet. I just got back from the Borders in Northglen CO where nearly their entire stock of video games was half off!

All DS, PSP, and recent (within two months or so it seems) or rare games weren't included, but almost everything else was. This may be Borders removing their video game stock entirely, or just a one store clearance deal, so YMMV.

I was able to pick up Resident Evil 4, Mario Power Tennis, and Paper Mario 2 all for 25$.

Other games included were most player's choice/platinum hits/greatest hits; Gran Turismo 4, Halo 2, KOTR 1 and 2, Metal Gear Solid 3, Zelda Minish Cap, Metroid Prime 2, and tons more. It's definetly worth checking out, because I normally wouldn't ever expect to see most games included in this deal ever under 30$.

Xbox controllers were also 50% off.

I hope this deal is going on elsewhere. I never thought of getting cheap games at Borders, so this is real suprise to me.

I went to the Pasadena at Lake store & the clearence bin was bone dry as said

BUT I went to the 2nd floor & found the rest of the games & a ton of them were UNMARKED but were 50% at the other Borders
they even still had copies of RE4 & GT3 all unmarked

so I picked up SF2 Collection which was $29.99, scanned it at the register & it was $15
sweet :)
IRONICALLY I also picked up Nightshade (Shinobi 2) marked $14 with a 50% off sticker in the bin, but when it rang up it was still at $14.99 with no 50% off Promo :whistle2:(


FYI I checked Devil May Cry 3 & Hulk UD on Xbox & both were $50 :whistle2:(

Yea my hulk UD for XB was 25, sucks about each having their own prices, but did they still had RE4 and SF2 collection? I gotta go back and check it out if so.. i can get to pasadena in about 10 minutes in the night 30 in the day, did you go today?
 
As of 9:00 p.m. tonight, the Westwood, CA store still has several copies of Metroid 2, and RE4. I did see Hulk UD, but it didn't have the sale sticker so I assume it was still full price. Also, plenty of Xbox games like Leisure Suit Larry and Men of Valor.
 
If ANYONE finds extra copies of Zelda: Minish Cap or Mario Sunshine, please, please, please, PM me? This is a hard sale for me to get in on because I DO have a borders in the area, but it sells no games, so I'm screwed for a 30 mile radius till where the next borders is, and i cant get to it.

OMG thanks for saying that! I just saw this post & was gonna go out to the Oviedo store tomorrow to see if they had any games!

Wait, so the Winter Park one carries games but it's not on sale or they don't carry games at all?

No games at all in Winter Park...actually, no games at all in any Borders in Florida that I know of.

Hurray hurray! There were a few more copies of these, one Halo 2, some THUG 2s, Spiderman 2 DS, LOZ WW, and lots of Viewtiful Joes. Worth a trip, its the Pico Rivera Borders next to Ross and Walmart.

EDIT: Crap, just went to EBGames, saved about $3 on Feel the Magic, same price for Call of Duty, but MP 2 is $50 woooo.
 
The Borders in South Coast Plaza, CA won't honor the 50% off if the package didn't have the sticker. Tried to get NightShade, but they say it's not 50%. A bunch of MP2's over there, but no 50% off sticker. YMMV?

sale must be over then.

I bought one game, realized I didnt want it

so I returned it and got another game,

now Im selling it on ebay! haha

Just called all 4 in NYC and all said they dont carry games. Did anyone have any luck in any one of them? Maybe I got a rep that wasnt aware if they did.
