I kind of agree. You received one for your birthday, but already had one... I would probobly:

A: Check if you had one before I bought it for you.
B: Know if you had one cause I come to your house a lot because I'm buying you a 1000 dollar gift.

Sorry man, I like a seller to be honest. Or I'm paranoid as hell

it was a gift sent to my house buy my uncle who live in Cali.
But don't worry about it, you ppl can't afford it anyway.
If it was a scam I think I would sell it for what's it's worth, I'm just trying to move it quick

No, when it is a scam, scammers list the price much lower than what it is worth so that they trick some unsuspecting buyer into jumping into a great deal without doing proper thinking!

Besides, as you are new to CAG, the only way you'll get to deal with someone is if you send them the TV first and then they will pay you. Good luck with that. If you are legit, list it on Ebay for the $800 at I'm sure you'll sell it quick.

I didn't think it was a scam, I thought maybe it was stolen or something (No offense to OP) Or he received through some illegitimate means.

Sorry for being so uppity OP, I meant no offense and shouldn't of jumped to conclusions.

no offense...I was just trying to let people know about it,they could get a great tv for half price.
to be honest its going to sell on overstock,if people on here believe it or not.
just trying to help

We don't want your "help" .

But as someone already posted.
You would have to ship first before getting any payment from a CAG here.

And we all know scammers never ship first.

already made a deal I'm at the post office shipping now.
But you really need to get a life, you've been on here for years and have done nothing but nag like a little girl.. So good luck with that I guess

OP, do you know the first thing about selling? You are selling yourself (here come the prostitute jokes....) as much as you are selling the product. Continually posting here to infer that we cannot afford or aren't worthy of your help won't get you shit for sales.

I see that it is listed on Overstock.com auctions. Unfortunately, you are running into newbie issues. You are new here. You are brand new on overstock. While having that listing is a step in the right direction, your average viewer is going to immediately ask "Am I protected here?".

Hell, I'd be interested in buying it. But I don't know if Overstock guarantees anything for buyer protection or if they just take their piece for the listing and then flip the bird. Google checkout is the most legit check out option and even that isn't as widely used as Paypal.

People have to be conscious of their money. And it looks too good to be true. Last thing I want is a box with a broken LCDTV and no way to recoup my money.

You need references my boy.

Good god, there's a stream of these "deals" on CAG today. I just went through this same thing with that guy selling cheap xbox live subs.

EDIT: Wait, now you are "done deal. at the post office?" Hell, I figured it would take longer than 15 minutes (since your last post before) to complete the sale, box and load it into your car. plus posting on a web site while at the post office. You must have mad skills.

Ohh I am sure you are at the post office shipping now...........

Kefka,

Yeah lotta scammers running around lately.

They must of already got banned from ebay and paypal.
cool thanks finally someone helpful.
Overstock does protect, but how do I use google checkout?
Ummm, dude? Your listing on Overstock says you accept it as payment. I've never used Overstock for auctioning. And I've only used Google checkout for sending money. But you should just be able to go to google.com and find a link for checkout. Sign into your gmail account. Again, it's another brand new thing. You'll want to figure that out in case someone wants to pay using checkout on your overstock auction.

Again, do you have anything to show to vouch for yourself? Why did you choose Overstock as opposed to ebay or even Craigslist and sell local?

Sorry dude, I'd love to take that off your hands but you can't be too cautious nowadays.
yep like I said.. Good luck with that lil girl.
Mind your biz, how do you get baned from eBay??
Cags will look out for other Cags.
This includes pointing out scams here on the forums.

But you already "made a deal" and are "at the post office shipping now"

So no need to further post in the thread .

Yes, it's true that CAG's will help each other out and warn away from trouble and scams. On the other hand, I'd rather not immediately label someone until I've had the chance to check into it. I know what it's like to get rude welcomes in new communities.

But OP, you're fighting an uphill battle. All the newbie stuff we discussed. Saying you sold it already but you still have the auction and you don't know how to use Google Checkout. Overstock also takes Paypal as I've come to find out.

On the positive side, OP did go through Identity verification. Which is providing Overstock with your address, birth date and a credit card. How strictly Overstock follows up on this (checking the address to the credit card, etc) I do not know. But they supposedly verify the card with a $1 charge which is reversed.

But Overstock does not seem to offer any protection. Sorry. This is quoted from the Overstock Auctions User Agreement.

Lol... join date of 11/11.

And before you get upset about being called out, just put yourself in our shoes. We aren't stupid internet consumers. This place is used to get deals on stuff like this and we know when a deal is too good to be true. I guess sending it back from the company your uncle bought it from is worth the 1200 discount. :applause:

Btw... I can afford your "deal," but common sense trumps your claims.
