This is a really good deal on this TV. It uses passive 3D like the movie theaters so the glasses have polarized lenses and are much cheaper to buy/replace compared to active shutter. The downside of this technology is that you get half 1080P resolution when viewing 3D content. If you're willing to deal with that then this is a great price. If you want passive 3D at full 1080P, you'll have to wait another year or two for LG to put a 2160P TV (rumor is they are working on it).
