6/24 Updte:Best Buy Games list w/$10 pre-order bonus(500 bonus points)

The socom 4 bundle w/PS move & sharpshooter is already $70 less than MSRP, now add the $10 pre-order bonus and $10 for spending $150 on gaming(if your a gamers club member it's free) the bundle is basically $130...unbeatable. They have added a $10 giftcard offer & $30 specific games on top of this.

-Free headset
-500 bonus pts ($10).

If my $15 RZ points were posted by then I would be tempted. But unfortunately it takes about 7 years for points to post :roll:
 
Might go ahead and get Pokemon White from BB since I have a GC from Christmas. Then possibly use that gift card on Crysis 2 :)

it seems you can't pre-order the headsets online any longer, the advertisement for the free headset promo now states in store only.

Yeah all their clubs are free though grab a RZ card in store scan it at the register. Login online and join the gamers club. You get a point per dollar spent on everything in the store and $10 for every $150 spent on gaming(excludes systems).

I think it's the other way around I think homefront's dev. wants to move their new IP and is giving as many retailers promo opportunities as possible.

Once 30 days has passed you can request them to post the points faster as long as your not a RZ silver member. Basically, CS will help especially if you are waiting to make another purchase as long as they don't have to worry about the product being returned or exchanged.

you can even sign up online...that's what I did...I just give my phone number when they ask me if i have a RZ card.
 
How long does Best Buy hold pre-orders? The only BB I ever go to is about 50 miles away and I only get up there about two or three times a month. I'd like to get that Socom bundle.

Probably the same as store pick up orders, which is about seven days. After that they automatically cancel your order.

Until the sat. of the release week you can call them to hold longer maybe, but if you don't pick it up on the release week, you'll miss out on the pre-order bonus.
 
say, you preorder at bestbuy la noire. get the 500 points, and game. and few days later, return the game with receipt, can i still keep the 500 points and get back full purchase price ?

Points post to your account after the return/exchange period unless your a RZ silver member(45 day window) but they will put your account in the negative.

Per BBY's fine print, If you use RZ Certs or Gift cards when you pick up the game, you dont get the $10 bonus for pre-ordering.

Pre-order with cash/credit, pay with the reward cert. you'll get points on what amount isn't covered by the RZ certs

It's a pre-order/purchase offer you must pre-order the game and purchase it by the end of business the sat. that the game releases. Rewards point are never instant to protect BB from return fraud. Only gift card offers are instant but they deduct the gift card value from the return price.

As long as you pre-order it by the 14th, and pick it up before the 19th, you will still earn the points in 30-35 days?

I dont see how you can get much clearer than that

I'm pretty sure the second quote is right. Points are deducted from those payments.

Yeah your covered, I had a pre-order b4 that didn't come w/500 bonus points at the time but when I got it the bonus was added,I got it no problem. They just updated the RZ site so hopefully the issues will disappear.

um... a year or so ago... you got the points just for preordering...

put down $5.00 on a preorder... get $10 RZ Cert even if you didn't buy the game...

And this is accurate information. I don't use certificates on any games or accessories just to avoid any other hassles they want to throw at us.
 
Since I had some RZC at BB I would have probably bought DA II there, but no preorder bonus when others are doing stuff and I have tons of credit at GS = they lost my business for that.
 
It's funny how they have Zelda: SS up there for a July 1 release, even though it's not set (and July 1 isn't a Sunday).
 
ok so i preordered pokemon black few days before release date like you guys and my points has not been posted. i called them and they said i will receive it 45-60 days. -__-
 
The gaming kiosks have been updated with more games I was in BB today. Several new games that I haven't even heard of coming out May-July have $10 offers. Haven't had a chance to check the site yet though.

It wasn't the last time I checked but don't be surprised if it doesn't change. The $10 giftcard offers for Crysis 2, Socom 4, MK, Portal 2 where all added last minute. A few weeks ago a game rep at BB told me they'd be getting very agressive with their gaming deals and it's already begun. It's BB vs Kmart vs Amazon now.
