$75 Digital Projector at Walmart

It would be good for the kids but it looks a little cheap like it will easily break. i would look for one around 300 i got one from dell used for that much and it worked great and works in hd.
 
Avoid that thing like the plague. I saw a review of it and they said it wasnt even worth the money at its low price. Some products are so bad you shouldnt even get them for kids :S
 
Just use this as an excuse to get a nice projector for yourself the family.

And mount it on the ceiling so the kids can't break it.
 
yeah, I don't think this is in any way, shape or form a home theather solution. I was thinking it would be for the kids' playroom or something because watching "Cars" and "Finding Nemo" on a screen the size of a wall would be pretty neat - nevermind the fact that the PQ wouldn't be so great - kids don't notice that stuff...
 
it might be low res but this is perfect for kids movies and gaming as the bulbs are cheap and replacable and it has a built in speaker the RCA connect on my kids TV is going and I think I am going to get him one of these for XMAS so he can play gamecube/gameboy games and watch his DVDs on the wall
