75% off N64 and PS1 Games @ EB/GS

CAGiversary!
The old B1G1 sale appears to be over and is being replaced with a 75% off sale; plus the 10% off for your Game Informer card comes off the original (and the the dicounted price), makes the deal closer to 85% off. It also appears that the old N64 and PS1 games are being consolidated in select stores, so many stores will not have any games and some will have a ridiculous amount. YMMV and good luck.

About half a year ago in Hattiesburg, MS I found a GS doing this. They had a ton of awesome and rare games. I spent around $300 and got like 20 copies of Rhapsody and Persona 2. Got copies of Ogre Battle, Hoshigami, and tons of other rare games.

The guys told me that every GS/EB in the state shipped theirs to them, so expect most locations not to have a selection. Call around and see where the games got sent to.

**EDIT** Plus it stacks with Edge, so 85% off

Tip: Extreme hording is not going to earn you any fans here on CAG.

awesome, i assume you'll be selling them to other CAGs for cost + shipping... ya know, so you're not an asshole or anything.

You mean so then some of those CAGs can turn around and gouge on the prices and shipping and toss them on their TLs and say 'that's what the market says they're worth', like so many who have bought games from even CL have done on here?

Honestly, yuffie, that wasn't the best thing to do on here, since hoarders are looked down upon, but you should sell them for whatever you feel they're worth.

On a related note, I guess no one wants my copy of RPG Maker I found @ a local dump store, since I want $9 shipped for it, disc only, huh? LOL

My local dump store stopped getting in new stuff, otherwise, I would've probably still been checking them.

I don't really care. I used it to get store credit at a local mom and pop joint snag a ps3.

I've already in the past bought many of the classic and rare ps1 games. Most of the games I picked up I didn't have yet.

Lol anybody really want my hoarded copies of Rhapsody and Persona 2? :p

Especially in Mississippi..............

If you really wanted most of these games, you would have bought them used before the rarity.

And TFN, you really want a copy of Rhapsody? Or were you just trying to be a jerkoff smartass?

LOL That's like me now, yuffie, I procrastinated on Intelligent Qube and every time I see it, someone is offering it for only 500-1000% over what they paid because 'that's the price it gets in the market'.

I was lucky enough to snag Silent Hill(non-gh even) back before GS started to clear out the PS1 titles for $13 or so, so for that I'm happy. But, I'm also annoyed at myself for getting rid of so many games in the past, many of which have become 'zomg rare' now.

I'm glad a fellow CAG bought all the copies he could. If I wanted a copy of it at cost and shipping I'd simply ask and hope he was nice enough, but I'm also not going to ask him so I can flip it myself.

What ... do you guys think we're the only ones who knows what a rare game is. I would bet money on within a day or two some random guy would of gone in there, see the 64 / PS1 stuff and went, "Wow some rare games in here, I could make a killing on the Bay of E's" and bought them all.

But I just realized that I got bitched out for not helping CAGs on something I did months before joining CAG........................

I hope my dots say it all.

I will go by that GS sometime this week and report back anything I pick up that's a copy. I'm surprised that GS/EB still has these games. Afterall, it was back in like May.

Do You Have Any Extra Copy Of Rhapsody?

Honestly, unless you get a reseller(like the one lady who kept asking me about my copy of Alundra I found)who goes into that store or someone fairly knowledgable about games and their rarity, the games may well sit there for all of eternity.

Worst part is though, when you have multi disc games which are hard to find/rare and someone buys up ONE disc out of the 3-4, leaving you to scramble through the bin over and over hoping you just missed that last disc.

Take, for example, that I found disc ONE of the Arc The Lad Collection out of FIVE discs. I never found ANY other discs from that collection, so I simply put disc one back and forgot about it. I also found Wing Commander IV, but only found discs 1,2 and 4 of it I believe, which means I have a game that I'd never be able to finish.

Sick part is, I had the Wing Commander games before, but I never kept them and I regret that now.

I have found multiple copies of other games before, such as Darkstalkers 3, for $5 @ a local shop which is also clearing out their PS1 titles. However, since it doesn't appeal to me, I never bought any of them.

So, sometimes when you find a 'zomg rare' game, you better check to make sure it's actually complete, since GS is infamous for seperating the discs and trying to charge their price PER disc(as they were gonna try with the Wing Commander game I found).

Best of luck yuffie and if ya stumble upon a copy of Intelligent Qube, give me a good price on it? LOL
