Thats pretty funny I knew it was a matter of time before someone did that, especially when you put your location on your profile... especially since he had already said he had been there twice... could have found the games sooner, these 2 dollar games had been on sale for a LONG LONG time. half the CC's I went to had some, the other half had been picked clean... but even the ones I had success at, finally pulled the super cheap games, still leaving behind some of the 3.96 games though :)
 
Ultimate Spiderman $8.96?

Tuesday I got Gun and Hulk. Yesterday got Katamari 2. With a sale like this, how the hell am I gonna save for an Xbox 360 this summer?....

*trudges toward Circuit City for the third time this week (so far)*
 
The Circuit City I went to yesterday had a few titles on the list (I remember a few Wild Arms 4, but I already have it) but after much searching, I finally managed to find one copy of Gauntlet: Seven Sorrows, which also happen to be the one I wanted the most out of that list.

I also found two copies of Half-Life 2: Ep. 1 for $7.99. I just bought one though, I'm not into hoarding. :\

I really really wanted Katamari but my Circuit City didn't have it, so I picked up the last copy of Gun instead. They did have plenty of Castlvania, Wild Arms 3 & 4, Mark Echo LE, Gauntlet and lots of other stuff but nothing I really wanted. Too bad Darkwatch wasn't on the list, either.

FYI: Capcom Collection scanned at 19.99. Too bad I would have liked that too.
 
Well, after hitting every Circuit City in the Charlotte city limits, I was able to snag Radiata Stories and The Warriors finally (I got 3 of the latter for trade) plus Xenosaga II and Wild Arms 3 (which was more like $9.96, but still not bad). The uber news though is that while scouring Circuit City locations today, I was able to snag the now OOP Resident Evil 4 Premium SKU and for whatever reason, it rang up the same price as the normal RE4 ($39.99). fucking awesome. I've been screwing with eBay for like a week trying to get a copy for a non-rapage price.

Went back to CC again today to get some more games. Today I got we love katamari. I missed Time crisis sale at ebgames, so I printed the $24.99 on amazon.com website that says gamestop sells it for 24.99 and they let me pricematch it. SCORE!

Those $9.74 games are "Cool Deals" games, so those prices are only good until whenever CC ends the 25% off Cool Deals promotion (is it this Saturday)?

I made a trip to a second CC today and managed to finally find We Love Katamari and Radiata Stories. Got those, plus Super Monkey Ball Deluxe and Musashi Samurai Legend ($5.96).

I scanned a lone copy of Dragon Quest VIII and it is NOT part of the $8.96 sale. It's still $29.99.
 
There is a GBA version as well but I think it would be better on the DS because of the touch screen. I picked it up 2 weeks ago for $3.96 on the DS but haven't opened it yet because I'm still deciding if I want it or not (it's got to be worth $4 but I'm questioning if it is just going to collect dust waiting to be opened)
 
This has been a stellar sale for getting those 2nd tier games that I would not / could not shell out $20+ for prior (I bought the Warriors for $50 but that couldn't be helped and I believe its worth it). Thanks OP.

My wife had fun with it for about the $4 worth we paid for it, honestly.

I imagine the second I bother to play it, we'll be into the $8 worth category. ;-)
 
Bah, I went to get Indigo Prophecy and Hulk but forgot they were only for the PS2. Reading really is fundamental.

I'm still on the fence about Castlevania. I hate it, but my collection calls for it.

Story time.

So I went to my CC again today and headed straight to the video game section to see completely barren sections where any clearance games had previously been. I looked and looked but still couldn't find a single title. So, I head towards the door, thinking that someone had raided the place. However, right by the registers, I found the clearance bin. I rummaged through and found pletny of goodies, but finally what I was looking for: Hulk:UD and Ultimate Spidey, and also grabbed Castlevania for the fun of it.

So, with Hulk and Spidey in my hand, I headed over to BB to return the games I had previously gotten at $20 each. As I drive up, I see a nearly empty parking lot, an ambulance pull away...and every fucking employee standing by the front door, turning customers away. I don't know what happened, but it means another trip out tomorrow, and another temptation as I pass by CC. My wallet is boned >.
 
scored a Wild Arms 4 at CC in Somerville, MA. Any bostonians looking for it, there were a couple of copies left. I also saw Ultimate Spidey there but i didn't buy it.

what's the deal with Tenkachi and capcom classics Sly 2 ringing up at 19.99 the price in the CC system is not updated at certain locations or?

So you did price check it or you're going by the sticker price? I'll just assume you checked it out and it was a no go.

And I just read the OP's quote about more clearance items that will become available for other systems. My wife is going to kill me, then bury me, then dig me up and defecate on my chest when this is all over!

Got lucky, they put out a single copy of Jak 3 with the 8.96 sticker on it. Took it to the counter and it rang up 19.99 and the manager had to price adjust it.

Just made a third run to the last CC I know about in Phoenix. Thought I
would score the last We Love Katamari that showed in stock yesterday but someone got to it before me.

They did have a few non-SE Getting Up, From Russia With Love, and a lot of SSX On Tour. If someone has a Katamari they can trade for these I'd go back and pick one up.
