80% into Red Steel and it's done?

CAGiversary!
OK for those of you who wanted spoiler tags here they are:

*!*!*!*!*!*!*!*!*!*!*!*!*!*!*!*!*!*!*!*!*!*!*!*!*!
SPOILERS! DEAD AHEAD! YOU'VE BEEN WARNED
*!*!*!*!*!*!*!*!*!*!*!*!*!*!*!*!*!*!*!*!*!*!*!*!*!

So I just finished Bloody Sunset, the last level, where I rescue Miyu with Otori. Otori kills Tokai and Otori dies from poison, then Miyu's like, "Oh Scott, let's go home." End credits and that's it. That's it? 80% into the game? Was I suppose to jump in front of Otori and defend Tokai or something? What the hell...? And if this really was the ending then damn that's about the weakest ending I've ever seen. Geez. Feeling so unsatisfied I think I might pick up Trauma Center right now.

you couldve atleast entered a lot more empty space between the spoiler and the warning, having my browser at full I saw everything without even wanting to, oh well, don't need to play red steel now! ;]

There is another ending in the game, all you have to do is brfeak Otori's sword in the last part of the game when you are tyring to stop him in that final swordfight

Your precentage in the game is based upon the ranking you have for all the levels. In order to get a higher percentage you have to go back and beat the levels with a higher rank. And because of the fact that the game was rushed you can even get 105% if you get perfects on everything.

I like this idea for this game, but the fact that you can't skip cut scenes ruins the experience of just jumping in a level to play for the sheer fun of it. (Ie: not caring to sit through a lame script and voice work just so you can play).

Also the good ending isn't really gratifying either. Imagine a super happy ending and you can probably guess what happens.

Thats what I thought it'd be, I just didn't want to read too deep into what the OP said w/o potentially spoiling something for me.

does it have anything to do with how many guns you unlock at the shooting range also perhaps. this single player game kind of blows but the deathmatch is fun, simple because it's the only one on the system with it...i look forward to red steel two where they fix all the issues and make a better game.
