80% Off Comics, Graphic Novels, Toys, Statues, Collectibles and More

ANGURA

CAGiversary!
**Heya. As mentioned before I work for this store. But we just dropped everything to 80%, and added a bunch of new stuff. Given how many people here enjoyed their previous scores I thought I'd pass on the new developments. Bunch of new graphic novels and toys added. Enjoy**

Hi all,

Well we're at Week 5 of the Summer Steals Sale and things have gone critical. Not only is EVERYTHING now marked at 80% off of retail, but because we can't leave well enough alone, we've added hundreds of new items to the sale.

That's right - hundreds of previously discounted items, and they're all marked at 80% off. There's no guarantee as to how long this deal is going last, and given how many items we've completely sold out of, there's no guarantee how long an item will remain in stock.

When an item is gone, its gone for good. So get yours now, before someone else does!

Cheers,

Andrew@TFAW

SUMMER STEALS SALE PAGE

I'm so glad that I'm broke right now because this sale would probably put me in the poorhouse regardless. I've been drooling over those Next Men TPBs like crazy (say what you will about Captain Crazy Canukycakes; his older work is incredibly enjoyable).
my order shows that it's still pending on the website, but i've been charged on my credit card already. is this an error or is it suppose to be like this?
It's possible that it is referring to the shipping status as pending, i.e. we're busy pulling it off the shelves. That can be a 2-5 day procedure, and given that yesterday was Wednesday (i.e. new comic day) the computers might be a little backlogged and catching up. I'd wait until tomorrow and if it hasn't cleared up give our Customer Service folks a ring or an e-mail. However, I think you're probably fine and just caught up in the volume of orders we're handling right now.
i really want to read the watchmen but have no idea what I want. My friend has the ultimate edition but thats not around anymore I guess. Any recomendations. I would like to read before the movie.
From my understanding, they will be releasing another "Absolute Edition."

By the way, thanks OP! Pick up over $100 dollars worth of stuff for about $20!

The "Absolute Edition" of The Watchmen came out in 2005 and appears to be out of print. According to Wikipedia, another hardback edition will be coming out in November (presumably tying into the movie in some way). Best option: borrow your friend's Absolute Edition (it really is nice having the bigger pages and redone colors). Next option: buy the TPB. Way cheaper and the art and colors still won't disappoint.

My sister plays world of warcraft and likes the twilight book series (vampire/human/werewolf romance drama I think), anything on sale that she'd like?

Just wanted to give a big 'thank you' to everyone who has come and checked us out during our Summer Steals Sale. From what I've seen here (and on other boards) it looks like a lot of you enjoyed all your swag, and I certainly am grateful to have some room to move around in again. I was nearly walled in with boxes, and now at least I can stretch my legs. :D

Alas, all good things must come to an end and, in the case of Summer Steals, it looks like the end of this week will mark its demise. Just a heads up to everyone who hasn't had their fill.

Not to worry though, as sure as it rains in Portland, I will again be walled in by mountains of awesome stuff, and the steals will resurface. Thank you all again, and look for continuing Cool Geeky Things in the near future.

Cheers,

Andrew@TFAW

Andrew,

Thank you SO much for all of your effort. It is truly appreciated more than you may realize, and sale or not, I know I will be shopping with TFAW, quite a bit indeed.

You're welcome, and thank you. It always makes my day to hear I've done a decent job of taking care of the people who trust us with their business. :)

I appreciate you checking us out, and am glad to hear you've been happy with the way you were treated. As always, feel free to drop me a line at: [email protected] with any comments, compliments, or criticisms about your experience with TFAW.

I wish everyone the best of summers, and happy comicry. Oh! And check out the new Wolverine story arc. I know, I know. I don't really read X-men either, but Millar and McNiven have done something really cool in focusing on an elderly Wolverine, who has turned away from battle following the victory of the super villains. Unsolicited promo, I really am enjoying this tale (started in Issue 66), and will be the first to admit how surprised I am at that fact. Worth a look.

Cheers,

Andrew@TFAW

Thanks for the help as well. I second that old man Logan run, good stuff. I love millar's writing.

Thanks for the help. I actually got a copy of the watchmen paperback from a friend and will give it a read. Is there anything on sale in this sale that someone thats never been into comics before maybe interested in. Movies that are comic oriented that I really like are Hellboy (which is one of my favorites), v for vendetta, Sin City, Of course Batman, and anything that is epic but is cheap. It seems like all my friends are getting into comics at the same time. Thanks for the help guys.

TFAW definitely rocks. I've bought a lot of hardcovers from these sales since I discovered them last year. Now not only do I have a videogame backlog, I also have a graphic novel backlog.

Seriously though, you can't beat the prices. Service has always been phenomenal too. Nick & dents are usually in great condition too. The only "bad" one I got was a Marvel Teamup where the dust cover was a little warn, but you can't even find that book anymore. Dust jackets are meant to be beaten up anyway :)

thanks for the heads up on the sale ending soon. I bit the bullet and put in one more order for some manga that was part of the sale that I missed the first time looking.
Is there a way to sort by sale %? I'm not having much luck finding the hugely discounted items.
Hey El Gray,

This link will take you to the Summer Steals page. From there you can browse by category using the box on the left.

Cheers!

Well Chris,

Given those parameters one thing that immediately jumps to mind would be

Give Me Liberty

Sin City (the movie) is an adaptation of Frank Miller's work, who also wrote Give Me Liberty. It happens to be one of my favorites of his, and has a ton of action. There is also a Batman vs. Tarzan (for real?) graphic novel in there that I've never read so I can't speak to its merits.

But at $3.20 for a Frank Miller TPB, it's kind of hard to go wrong. ;)

Cheers,

Andrew@TFAW

The Summer Steals sale officially ends today folks.

We've had a great time and thank you all for your support.

We're doing a new deal though for our comic fanatic friends and clearing out brand new copies of WATCHMEN for only $9.99. As always there is a more long winded (and specific) post floating around this board. :D

Consider it a thank you for all your support, and an opportunity to read the original classic before the movie is released. Thanks again, and have a great weekend!

Cheers,

Andrew@TFAW
just recieve my comics today and they're all in great condition! you wouldn't even be able to tell that they are "nick and dent condition". only 1 out of my 10 comics had a small sticker residue left on it. i will probably be ordering from them again. :D
Same here. You really impressed me here, Andrew. I gave your link out to a bunch of my friends too and they placed some orders. So far they're happy, except one of their orders was delayed because of some inventory issue (guess they ran out of an item after he ordered it).

In any case, make sure to let us CAGs know when another crazy sale is on the way. We tend to squeal like giddy schoolgirls when there's a sale of this magnitude.

Got my order too. Insanely good service. Each book was either shrinkwrapped, bagged, or wrapped.

Grabbed the Give Me Liberty Ltd HC which seemed too good to be true. I don't know how those were still around! I'm a sucker for art/coffee table type books, so I got a few of those too. Can't say enough good things about TFAW.
