okay this is my second 8GB Memory stick duo cuz the first one didnt work so I had to exchange it.

BUT it keeps saying memory card is not found when I try to format it. even my computer wont format the memory card.

psp 2000 cant handle 8gb?

some solution will be great guys. thanks

The only issue with my 8GB stick: it isn't 16GB. Beyond that, it's been aces since I bought it (two months ago).

Has your slim had issues formatting other sticks? If not, then perhaps you've weathered a bad streak of pro duos. If so, then perhaps your slim needs looking into.

What do you mean? It's not because his PSP is modded. If it's a PSP Slim, then it's running off of a new kernel. (Probably 3.xx) The only kernels that don't support 8GB+ cards are 2.71 and below. Anything above that supports an 8GB card. So, OP, try upgrading to a 3.xx kernel if you haven't already. Other than that, it could be because your settings are fucked up. Use the recovery menu to format the flash1 and create new settings.

You may have to reflash. However, it's not accurate to say that Kernels above 2.71 support 8GB. With custom firmware, support for 8G did not start until 3.80 M-33.

I would revert all your settings to their original default values, and disable any plugins. If that still doesn't fix it, and assuming you're running the latest custom firmware, then you may need to reflash...

I am running 4.01 M33-2 with an 8 gb and it works great. Try asking on an actual PSP mod site but I can't tell you here. PM me if you want to know some
