there was alot of common games but the one that stuck out the most was WILLIAMS PINBALL for 9.72

the display was not in eletronics it was by the front of the store that said ps2 games for dad.

LIST OF GAMES THAT HAD BEEN SEEN

WILLIAMS PINBALL COLLECTION
JAK AND DEXTER
RATCHET AND CLANK
THE GETAWAY
SOCOM
FATAL FURY ANTHOLOGY
WORLD HEROES ANTHOLOGY
TAITO LEGENDS 2
FIRE PRO WRESTLING
ART OF FIGHTING
WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP CARDS
This is clearly YMMV.
I've seen a $9.XX display at my walmart as well. From the little I saw as a walked by, it was mostly first party games like Jak, Ratchet and Clank, The Getaway, SOCOM, etc.

I got the same display at the Walmart in Williston, ND.

They had Fire Pro Wrestling Returns, World Heroes Anthology, Fatal Fury Battle Archives Volume 1, and Art of Fighting Anthology for $9.86 each. They also had SOCOM, Ratchet and Clank and a few others for the same price.

You can add Taito Legends II to that list. I've also seen the Jak trilogy (along with X), The Getaway, and several others that have also already been mentioned.

Clearly not YMMV.

After running to 3 walmarts (looking for a non related video game item in electronics) I did not see some sort of display for these games, just the usual dump of games in a bin thats been in all walmarts for the most part for months now.

most of the games have already been mentioned in it. The purpose is to post in the walmart thread to reduce forum clutter of the same things.

mine had one of those stands there yesterday, but my games were all $9.82. I picked up williams pinball collection, taito legends 2, and world heroes anthology. I have been playing the hell out of williams, especially my favorite childhood pinball machine, pinbot. It's still pisses me off like it did back in the day, and the digital version is just as unforgiving.

Oh, and the stand with these games at my wal-mart wasn't in the electronics section, it was actually between the electronics and food section, in the middle of a main isle.

i would use the wal-mart big post but it is so out of sorts and looks like a landmine went off in there to post anything. that goes for the sears and all other stores.

I picked the Williams collection for psp a month ago...and got insanely addicted to Taxi....like double digits of hours played to taxi heh.

Because it's more of a dumping ground than anything. You can't bring order and organization to a thread that is extremely YMMV.

This deal, on the other hand, is not extreme YMMV, as my store has the same display. That's why I'm letting this one stand on it's own instead of merging it with the YMMV.

Yeah, that's my second favorite on there. Made it up to 4-1/2 million a little bit ago.

You should ask for assistance in locating the display. It's sitting on the back end of one of the CD aisles at my Walmart. Has been for three weeks.

The thread you linked is for YMMV deals, as has been noted by mods.

world champiionship cards ps2 was also there....i would buy it but the AWFUL reviews keeps me from buying. i saw our display back on MAy 16 so it might be gone by now

I saw some of these games about a week ago with a big $9.xx sticker on the cover that were actually in the regular games case in electronics. If anyone looking doesn't see the F-day display, be sure to check the regular games case in electronics as well.

I don't expect to see any of those. The lowest a game goes is 19.99 in my area (unless MSRP is under that).
this pinball game sounds good...

hadnt heard of it before but i think im now sold.
Oh man....it's pure awesome in a case!:bouncy:

Well went to 2 of the walmarts (of the 3 I have) and one of them DID end up getting the display case and got World Heroes Anthology (Which I dearly need to finish out my SNK fighting collection for ps1/ps2/xbox). So all in all this deal isnt really YMMV.

Sorry for my hint of a$$holery in this topic and to TC

free bump :bouncy:

Hmm... I guess the "Rarity" of the SNK "World Heroes Anthology" is now over. But at least people now have a chance to get this hard to find game at Wal-Mart.

Oh yeah it is, I have it for the Wii and it rocks.

same display in lamarque, tx, but the games were stickered 9.82. I decided to get Jak X racing and they had Sly 2. also, I posted about this in the walmart thread yesterday.

I'm just wondering, are these Walmart games or are they like the front-lane games with the sticker UPC like at K-Mart and Sears?

At Cross lanes wal-mart in WV, I found Fatal Fury Anthology and World Heroes Anthology for $9.82.

Didn't pick either up though, but might go back for Fatal Fury.

I believe they had the generic sticker UPC over the actual UPC.

yep, that's what my wal-mart had. peeled off what i could, and the rest just wisked away with a little goo gone. Goddamn that stuff works wonders. Especially on those old eb games stickers they used to plaster all over the cases.

Does anyone know if any Walmarts around Dallas, TX have this dump in-store? The local Walmart employees have no idea what this promotion even is.

went back to my wal-mart today and picked up a few more of the $9.86 games. i got:

2x World Heroes Anthology
2x Fire Pro Wrestling Returns
Williams Pinball Collection

Fire Pro Wrestling Returns is by far the greatest wrestling game I've ever played. Certainly worth more than $10.

Control, customization, and the AI is outstanding.

yeah, it's definately a cool game. i already owned one that was opened but complete, now i'll be trading that one and one of the sealed ones.

None of the Wal-Marts I've been to have these games. Any games that they do have are locked inside cases. I assume that they would probably be opened and stolen if they were available on an endcap, even if they were budget games at $9.86, which is why they didn't make them available here.

Has anyone in Cali seen these games on sale? I know Kmart has a different set of games for $9 and some change like Killer 7, 50 Cent's game, Neo Geo Battle Colisium, etc. etc.
