I found a ST at my CC today. I didn't even know about this thread until after I bought it.

Anyway, I was excited to find it.

I also found:

Galerians Ashe PS2 $3.96
Half Life 2 XB $8.96 (This will play on my 360!)

I got the last copy at the CC across Arden Fair Mall. I also picked up F-Zero GP (gba) for 6.76 (an impulse buy). There's quite a few more of those

Galerians Ash is hella old, how the hell did your CC even have one of those?

Well my CircuitCity is usually crappy, or rather my luck is when finding the deals. I walked in last night though and right away saw 1 more copy of ST. I was shocked and stoked at the same time. I also happened to find Total Overdose and XIII for 3.96 each so it was a great trip.

Really? wierd, I went there a week or so ago and they didn't have it. Maybe they got some more or something. I got Suikoden Tactics for $9.99 after PMing CC to Fry's though so I'm happy. ;)

It was hiding behind a stack of some old sports games, wary of the oncoming CAG onslaught.

Good stuff with the PM tho! (all you still looking for it could use this advice!)

I've picked up a brand-spanking new copy of Suikoden Tactics in excellent store condition...PM me if you want to trade.

Claimed.

I got one at Chico, CA CC. When i brought it to the counter, the employee seemed very dissappointed. Not sure if he wanted the game or if he jsut doesn't like me. It was grea tto find it though :D

I found this at the Carmel, Indiana Circuit City today. They also had one copy of Hulk: Ultimate Destruction (PS2) left for $8.96 that I grabbed for my brother. Not a lot else there that was worth getting. I did get a free PSP demo of Loco Roco and I grabbed a 10% off coupon after I checked out as I forgot to check for one before...could have saved a few bucks...ah well.

Got lucky, managed to actually get one ONLINE. Of course, this was some time last week... I never usually catch these things, and I was fully expecting a backorder, but it arrived in the mail 3 days later. :)

The game itself is pretty good, it's not bad as far as strategy games go, although the elemental bonuses have a HUGE effect on battles. Definitely makes things a little different. I also like the fact that it's a bit based on Suikoden IV, a game almost universally panned by critics, but I enjoyed.

Unfortunately, it's probably going to take a back seat to my other games. Xenosaga 2, SMT: Nocturne and DDS, Legaia 2, Wild Arms ACF, the upcoming Valkyrie Profile 2... argh! I'd be here all day if I listed my backlog.

Anyway, congrats to those of you that managed to snag it, and good luck to those of you still looking!

Sarge out.

Not that strange of a find, I saw the game at 2 separate CCs in Virginia. One for $10, and the one I grabbed was $4. Both stores (in the Richmond area) also had a few copies of Suikoden Tactics.

I found one in plain site at my local CC yesterday and picked it up if anyone here needs one for $15 shipped ($16 if using PayPal) or wants to trade for it.

That's about break even with tax ($0.83), shipping with DC ($1.97), materials ($0.50), gas ($3.22 a gallon), and time (priceless).

I saw a bunch of these at my circuit city when I went to get GUN and True Crime: NYC (awesome game btw), but I didnt pick it up since its not my type of game. Anyone need one LMK.

WOOOT, I bought mine online like a week ago and it came in the mail today. Sweet deal, I'm a happy camper. Now I just need to find Suikoden III, I believe in miracles, and wait for Suikoden V to drop in price.

No way! Too bad there isn't a Gamecrazy near my campus.

I went to CC awhile ago when this posting first was put up. I went to one in cincinnatti and they had at least 2 copies but they had it mixed in with the other marked down & budget games in a rack that I have seen at just about every CC i have been in, not the clearance bins its a stand up cardboard rack, along with the usual crappy stuff like bass fishing challenge. If i hadn't of asked a employee I never would have found it.

Found a copy at the Tri-County location in Cincinnati. Did not see any other copies but the section was in disarray. That location also got a restock of Total Overdose for PS2 and Project Snowblind for PS2 (both games 3.96). Thanks OP and to those that posted about restocks.

Yah, I love how people on here always want you to drive out of your way, waste 2 hours of your day, pick them up a game that's $10+tax, and then mail it to them first class for $12. You only lose a couple hours and a ton of time in that deal. If I was going to that part of town anyway, I MIGHT do it for $15 Paypal, which is the break even point, but I'd probably want the Paypal up front since 75% of the people on this board seem to change their mind about buying something once you pick it up for them. I learned this the hard way trying to be nice and getting stuck with games I didn't want.

If anyone has access to the Hicksville Circuit City on Long Island, I hid two copies of ST for myself when I have more money, but a fellow CAG is welcome to them. In the PS2 section, to the right, there are a whole bunch of miscellaneous games. In the top row, I hid one game on each side behind all the others.. so check the far left and far right, behind the other games :)

I could also pick them up for anyone who has something to trade for them, but that'd have to wait until early next week.

I don't see what's the big deal. I pick up games for people if I'm going to the store to buy myself games. I don't drive out to a store JUST to fulfill orders and I doubt you do that too. Most people pick up extra games when they go shopping so there's no time wasted or gas wasted. I payed 12.60 for Circuit City to ship out Suikoden tactics so I don't see why 15 dollars seem so low to you esp. when manilla envelopes and ground shipping are really cheap. If you're in it for a profit don't bother picking up games for anybody because someone else will do it for you. Problem solved?

Stopped at mine again today (Harbison; Irmo, SC) and there were even more copies...7 left now.

I picked up a couple of them if anyone is interested. $14 shipped w/Delivery Confirmation. I don't do PayPal (long story...), so that being said, if you want one, just PM me with your e-mail address and I'll get back to you.

If anyone still wants a copy there's 2 at my CC I'd be happy to grab for cost + shipping, since I work at the mall anyways so I'm there near daily. PM me if interested.
my CC has a few. 16 shipped if you want one.
Was this a good game? I see that it got a 7.6 on GameSpot...

--> Was this a good game?
As a long time Suikoden fan including trying to find all the backplots and constantly reading Suikosource/SARS for Suikoden speculation and what not...as well as a fan of strategy games...and having put 50+ hours into Suiko Tactics to get every single hidden piece and storyline...I will say Suiko Tactics deserves a low 5 out of 10, 50%, mediocre, what have you.

If it wasn't for the Suikoden name and the fact that it was supposed to clear up the holes in Suikoden 4 (which was also mediocre unfortunately), I would not recommend it. Putting 50+ hours in was a long stretch, as I am pretty sure I could have beat it in under 10, which is ridiculous for a strategy game.

The storyline is super easy to follow, almost no surprises, almost nothing worthwhile, and compared to other tactics games like Tactics Ogre, FF Tactics, or even Shining Force 2...this game was very lackluster in every department but especially in storyline.

Is it a bad game? No. It was playable. It had some optional characters I wanted to like a lot, but there was almost no storyline whatsoever with them. Of the 40 or so characters in the game, 25 of them are sword wielders that are all the exact same with different portraits, it just seemed like very little effort was put in. It is so unfortunate because the Suikoden series should and could easily be made into a strategy game that is incredible. The biggest problem is not the system it runs, but the lack of depth in story and effort. Try to find Suikoden 1/2/3 (maybe 5, haven't tried it), or go back to the old strategy games like Shining Force 2 or Tactics Ogre if you want a better fix.
But I don't know how others feel.

If you like tactics-type games, I'd say get it. It all seems a bit routine, but the battle system itself is pretty unique, and the design and music are typical Konami fare (which is a good thing). The presentation is slightly lacking, but that's not the point. For $10, you could do far worse.

Yeah, but its $15+ shipped, which kind of takes away from it.
