This just came in on the intranet this afternoon. Starting tomorrow (2-9), all green tagged items will now be reduced 90%.

Odds are, there isn't much good stuff left...but what IS left will be $1-4, so some of that junk might be worth looking into.

Anyone know if the TRU in the NYC area have anything? I think the one In Union Square went out of business..
times square today

shelf on the left had ps2 games under $10:
about 30 copies of primal @ $1
bloodrayne was $1.50
some other stuff

the bin had tons of $2 doa3, oddworld: munch, a football title, a star wars title

then there was 2 for $20 on most of the $14.99 games like godzilla, defender, mortal kombat (thats all i remember for the gc ones)
Is it worth it for trade bait? The TRU in times square always seems to be more expensive (probably because of tourists). I was just hoping to take advantage of some trade ins.
I wish I could find cheap guides.

'specially a wind waker one.

the drawrings are so pretty.
Windwaker guides are $1.50 and $.70 at my store, green tagged ofcourse.

The $1.50 Brady guide is the TRU exclusive one with the stickers...:) The one that is $.70 is the Prima one.

Want any of them? My store still has a stack of both of them in the back.

Could someone post the ten cheapest games in this 90% of sale. As in I could grab them all for like ten bucks.
.. from what I know of from the top of my head:

Outlaw Golf Holiday Golf ($0.50) (rare to find at TRU now)
Jampacks.. ($0.50-0.80)

$0.99
Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 2
Ejay Clubworld
Mojo
Road Trip

SeaBlade ($1.10)
XIII ($1.25) (hard to find)
Turok = YMMV
Primal ($1.49)
Mary-Kate and Ashley: Sweet 16 ($1.49, but gets you $2 of EB credit instead of the usual $0.50 - $1.00 credit you'd expect)
..
Very much apprecated
Id just like to say that at my TRU XIII came up as 5 bucks, Turok came up as 3 bucks. Very upsetting I must say.
How much for those in trade @ eb or gamestop?

I went back today & grabbed a few more things:

Mojo (ps2 x2)
Freaky Fliers (ps2)
Haunted Mansion (gc)
Black & Bruised (gc)
Terminator 3 (xbox)
Sega Marine Fishing (dc) - I've looked at their DC bin the past 4 or 5 times I've been to TRU, and this game wasn't there until today
Universal Studios Tour (gc)
La Pucelle Tactics (ps2 x2)

I took 3 others up to the register that were on the list I had - Deus Ex: Invisible War, Jak II & LOTR:TTT (xbox). The lady that checked me out looked at them & goes "these are newer games, they aren't on sale." I looked at her, then back at the games (2 of which were GH/PH). I reply "They're not new...." and she goes "I said they were newER." I made her scan Deus Ex anyway, and she said it showed full price (and it LOOKED like she hit the total button) so I let the others slide. If anyone got an extra Two Towers they wanna trade, lemme know.
I'm tempted to go back to TRU, despite everything being picked over, oh well, tomorrow's my birthday so I don't see why I can't.

I saw Siren there really cheap, and I'm interested in getting that.
Happy Birthday, Nephets!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (It's still the 13th here.)
The only gem I got was a display GBA with e-reader for $9.90. It was missing a battery cover. The manager of the R-Zone section was just looking to get rid of anything in the back room. She brought from the back room a box full of green tag items that were not on the shelves. Mostly junk, but there were a couple of DC games.
$1.00 plus shipping:

Nintendo
To whoever wiped out the East Hanover, NJ TRU this afternoon - you're an absolute ass. This guy bought a shopping cart full of Crash Bash and Bloodrayne, literally at least 10 copies of each, among tons of copies of other games. He held up the whole line and really pissed a lot of people off. I have no idea what you're going to do with all of those Crash Bash, but good luck. There was another guy there who knew about this deal, either from this site or FW, and he thought it was ludicrous as well. Sorry for the rant people, but I just had to say it. Some people are abusing this deal to the fullest.
Probably get about 100 new free games at EB...

the green tag sale is only like a spring cleaning sale right? i tried goin to a toysrus today, but they only have a crap load of sports games green tagged. which was nothing worth getting.

does the green tag sale have a specific ending date?

i asked the dame at the counter the very same question. she said the deal is marked on her screen as ending 12/31/05. which means, when they run out, its over. so, i guess the same games will be green-dotted until stock runs out.

hopefully they will add to the list.

hope that helps...

ya that helped a little, thanks. is toysrus selling the psp? cause an earlier post said something like toysrus is getting out of the video game business.

hopefully they will add to the list of games for the green tags like u said.

maaaybe they will get out of the video game business(i am guessing unlikely) then we can pick up some green tagged nintendo ds's!!(and of course that statement was very realistic, i know)

Here are some other $1 or less games at TRU:

Kengo ps2
Mdk 2 ps2
Metropolismania ps2
Pryzm ps2
Sled storm ps2
Top gear dare devil ps2

Also of note are the OPM magazines with the Demo Disc in them. They're 25-40 cents each.

I was amazed to find on Sunday my local TRU had found yet more stuff to put out. Got another couple of Primals for EB.

At this rate I may be putting down a pre-order on Xbox 2 if it becomes real at E3.

can someone please compile a list so i dont have to go through 74 pages? and what is the current EB games deal to take advantage of..?

thanks

How about you go through 74 pages and compile a list so other people don't have to go through 74 pages. Perhaps you could also post what the newest EB deal is. Thanks.
kengo is $1? i got to go back to TRU
me too...not that kengo is a great game...i just want it for a dollar...and that bastard that told me it wasn't part of the deal will die a thousand deaths :!:
the bastard at my TRU told me Kengo wasn't part of it... :x
All TRU deals are YMMV. The TRU near my work still has Mojo! for $10 regular price, and its not green-tagged.

Just a listing of what was at the TRU in Springfield, PA:

Primal (PS2) for 1.49
ESPN College Football 2k3 (Xbox) for 1.49
Eternal Darkness (GC) for 3.49
ESPN NHL 2k3 (Xbox) for 1.49
Homeworld 2 (PC) for 1.99
Siphon Filter 3 (PS) for 1.49

Stuff I didn't pick up:
A DJ Music Mixing Game for the Xbox (.99) and a demo disk for the Xbox (.49) that included demos for Indian Jones, Vexx and Kung Fu Chaos. They had Gameboy Advance Accessories packs for .99 and I also got the feeling that most of the PS stock was green tagged (saw a green tag on some Crash titles and Gran Turismo 2). They also had Perfect Dark (N64) for .99 and MegaMan 64 (N64) for 4.99.

stopped by a Bangor, ME TRU on Saturday, could not find any tagged games, did grab a Sony PS2 S-Video cable for $3, Wind Waker guide for $1.50 and the last copy of Madden 04 PS2 on regular clearance for $9.98 (had only seen the GC version this low before).

Thanks!

That post has a lot of incorrect info. Bloodrayne for PS2 is $2.48 (normal price, not green tagged) and I was in the store yesterday - no DOA3 left. Primal is $1.50. Just many, many copies of Oddworld. In fact, people have been buying so many at $2 that they had to bring out cartons from the back with more. They told me they had over 1000 of them in back. Funny stuff.

Yes, YMMV big time. Most of the games list in this thread are not part of the sale - at least for the 5 TRUs I have been to.

If i remembered it correctly, I have seen
A lot of SEGA DC games
primal, black and bruised, eternal darkness, ridge racer R.. and maybe 2 or 3 more games. Many games in this thread I have checked were simply not part of the green tagged items. The accessories mentioned in the thread for PSone were all on sale though, that I can confirm.

So for people who didn't get much, don't feel bad or even think that you were too late for this deal - because there is a good chance that the TRUs near you simply had nothing much on sale at the first place. Keep in mind these are mostly left over from the previous greentag sale (50% then 70%)

I guess there is no point in heading to either TRU in nyc??

I should add that we got a beautiful kids bike for $6, two more kick-around kids' bikes for $3 apiece, a swank Eddie Bauer car seat for $13 and two of those VCRs in the bag, one for $14 and the other for $6 because it was missing the power cords. Hopefully all of the CAG power shoppers were able to step outside the R Zone.

Here are some more games that may be not green tagged but, still are 90% off

Wipeout: Fusion
All star baseball 2004
Both games PS2

Get them while their hot!!!!!! :D

Well, you can head to the Union Square one, but chances are pretty good you won't find anything there, lol :) If you want Oddworld or Primal, then sure, go to Times Square. Otherwise, forget it.

Can someone grab me an oddworld and/or DOA 3? I'd like to have that after playing Stranger's Wrath.. and im sort of a DOA fan.
I was able to stop at a different TRU today (West side of Milwaukee/Brookfield).

A big pile of Crash Bashs for $1.50 . . . got one.

Pile of about 18 Jampacks (all one type). I'm thinking I probably can't trade in 2 of the same at once. But I grabbed 8 of them (no need to be greedy plus I may have problems with them).

Stopped at the a nearby EB and the clerk takes 2 no problem $10.50 . . . gave her the rest but she balked after taking 2 more. She asked about the TRU sale . . . said she was going to check.

I told here to grab the ones I didn't get. I said that I learn about this stuff on the web and she mentioned that she likes "cheapassgamer."

It was a swell day . . . $21 more in credit by spending $3.20. Maybe I'll pair the other 4 with some stuff I have.
That's exactly the one I went to! I got a GT2(which is a lot of fun, good memories) a crash warped, and 8 PS2 jampacks.. which equals $50 of my Doom 3 Collectors edition paid off, for about $7.. did you go to the EB off bluemound too? the manager said they've been getting jampacks in all day but couldn't do anything about it..

I went to my local TRU yesterday and I picked up five guides for less then four dollars total:
Soul Caliber 2
Zelda: Wind Waker
Mario Kart: Double Dash
Counter Strike Xbox
Fire Emblem
Two of them were a penny, one was $.70, and the other two were $1.49. Sadly they didn't have very many games left.

Thought I'd just add a little note since this thread is still going...

I haven't seen many mentions of it other than my own (though I admittedly have not read every post on all 75 pages of this thread), so I thought I'd go ahead and say that if you can find it, Way of the Samurai for PS2 is definitely a good buy on this sale. Grabbed my copy for $3, and it was NOT tagged on the case, but did ring up as part of the sale.

Basically, it seems to be an almost Shenmue style adventure/action game where you wander around in this village and the surrounding environment meeting people, advancing the story, and if you feel like it, freakin' SLICING THE CRAP OUT OF EVERYONE! :D

The first time I played, I killed the blacksmith...I had asked him to upgrade my sword, and he gave me a price, and I told him to go ahead and do the work. You know how most games won't let you buy stuff if you don't have the money to pay? Well, I didn't check my inventory, and it turned out I didn't have enough yen to cover the charge once he was done...so he tried to kill me with his bigass forge hammer. What did I do?

I used my upgraded sword and carved him up like a Thanksgiving turkey, and then looted his giant hammer! :D

Anyway, if you like this kind of free-form, wander-around-and-do-what-you-want kind of game, you should definitely snatch up Way of the Samurai. The game world is far from huge, but it's still well worth the $3. :)

NYC TRU's

I went to the one at Union Square (closed)..then ran over to the one in Times Square (all on lunch break ;)) lol..

Ok I was able to get some DOA3's and A couple of Oddworld's..If anyone would like to buy, trade or want me to get one for them please let me know and PM me MAKE ME AN OFFER ahah. (I'd hope the favor would be returned) A couple other things I saw..Pokemon Stadium for N64..Eternal Darkness for N64 (1 copy left) Some ps1 A/V wires..If anyone could help me out with some deal in their area it would be much appreciated and you would recieve lots of karma. Anyone in the NYC area know of any other deal spots?

I ran to my Toys R us today (PA) and they had restocked some things.

They put out stickered over mojos that were $1, so I picked those up and the non stickered ones (they had like 20 in total, I took 5). Manager wouldn't let me have the non stickered ones for the sale price, unlike the last time when I picked up a few jak & daxters that way.

I love how they are consistent.
