$99 Blue DS 4 left @ Ecost

Shipping is free as well.

As far as being a refurb, that should mean that you won't get stuck with dead pixels. I have bought 4 new DS's in the past 3 months for gifts, EVERY SINGLE ONE had dead pixels. I wish they had refurbs available then =/

Why buy a refurbished DS when you can buy a new one $129? Only $29 dollar difference. I rather not take my chances with a refurbished DS. So many things can go wrong and don't let the timer fool you. You can easily buy refurbished DS at a lot of places for $100 easy.

Here you have it at $129 + 6% tax so thats easily ~$137 plus gas and time.

It carriers a Nintendo Warranty i do believe so its no different in that respect.

Also out of curiousity where else can they be had at $99 + free shipping & no tax?

I picked one up yesterday. Note that you can get DS's for $109 + Tax (that's the price IIRC) at EB and Gamestop, but all the ones around me tell me that all their stock is used instead of refurbished.

Refurbished means the systems went through QA with the replacement or fixing of any defects as needed, used means exactly that, they received the unit, might have tested it, but basically cleaned it and wrapped it up. You are almost always better off buying refurbished over used.

Edit: I forgot to add, shipping is indeed free, but they tack on ~$5 in "handling fees". Cheesy, but still not a bad deal by any means in my opinion. I was going to wind up getting the Mario Kart bundle, but red isn't exactly my favorite color. (On that note, it was pretty short-sighted by Nintendo to only make what would obviously be a popular bundle in only one color, but what can you do.)

I only bought one thing from ecost a few years ago, a clearance IBM Workpad. No real problems that I can remember.

Edit: Then again, I never did order anything from them again. They always charge big shipping fees to Hawaii...

Wow, that is a disturbing amount of bad reviews. Just checked my balance online, glad to see that they only charged me once unlike seemingly many others.

Since the reviews all say order cancelling is a nightmare, I'm going to let the order go through and see what happens. I'll reply again when the DS comes in.

Edit: First update...apparently my DS has shipped. They gave me a big long tracking number but no carrier with it, and it doesn't work under the usual suspects. Still, at least it's supposedly on its way.

Edit 2: Figured out it was shipped via DHL by digging around the "My Account" section. No estimated date of delivery, but the shipment location is only a few states over from me, so I assume it won't take more than a few days.

Wow what terrible reviews... I recently ordered an Onkyo 6 disc player from them way cheaper than anywhere else. It came and worked perfectly for 3-4 months now. It was new and everything went great.... I wont be leaving them feedback because I am satisfied and never thought about doing it...

Thanks for the info Graystone.

I wish I would have know about resellerratings.com before I ordered from AXSHOP.COM. I had placed an order for some psp accessories from them through an old thread on here and still havent received anything. Apparently they have done this to many people on that resellerratings.com site. I'm about to file a complaint with paypal very soon.

Same with ebuyer. I have to go through the trouble of returning my product cause they send me the wrong item. Gave them a bad review and I aint shopping there.

Well, my DS arrived today, in a sealed box with a big red refurbished sticker on it. Everything is in great condition and works fine. The only thing I'm missing is a second stylus, but no biggie.

And man, Mario Kart DS, so good. =o~

I got the refurbished DS I ordered today and it is in pristine condition. I am happy ecost.com worked out this time, but I probably will never order from them again after seeing all the negative feedback they have gotten. Happy New Year

Ugh this is tempting...But I had bad luck with refurbished items: bought a $50 refurd DVD player from overstock.com and the dvd tray got stuck after opening it once. It took about 2 months to get thru the return process so I could get a refund. I got my money in the end, but it was just a hassle.

O well, back to tryin to get lucky on ebay...
