Went to the CAG link on the main page for the $30 Amazon site deal. Saw an add for some Visa card.

Enrolled for the Amazon Prime Visa and got an INSTANT $30 credit towards next Amazon purchase...

purchased the $30 CAG Logitech PS2 Controller deal... got free shipping (have to wait extra week for delivery)... and will cancel the Visa after I pay the $.99 on my bill.

It's a $39.99 + tax controller at Walmart, Target, Gamestop, EBGames...

Now that's a Cheap Ass Deal!!!

First off, great deal.

Second, I don't do many "wrong forum" posts, I mostly do "this has already been posted" posts.
 
Adding a query to your credit report to save a few dollars on a controller is really not a great idea. Every time you apply for a credit card or anything that requires a credit check for that matter, a query entered on your credit report. The number of queries on your credit report is one of the factors for determining your overall credit score.

Good deal on the controller for you, but I would not recommencd this strategy to others.
