A break from DS games...

wow...for the past 3 weeks i've been buying a DS game at least once a week. trace memory, lost in blue, trauma center, phoenix wright.

finally a break for the next couple of weeks. no must have DS games unless i'm missing something. what is the next must buy ds game?
 
Probably Mario Kart and Animal Crossing. At least MK, I'd say, what with online gaming. I'll be picking up AC as well.

After that, Viewtiful Joe will be must own for me, along with Mario RPG 2. And Sonic Rush. Then Metroid...FF3, FF:CC...the new Mario Bros 2D...

And when is Guilty Gear coming out? And Bleach?

And you can't forget TINGLE RPG.

My DS loves my money :(
 
looks like the break is over at around 11/14 when mario kart comes out. but i might skip it since i'm not too crazy over racing game. i might get elektroplankton when it comes out on 11/1 i like innovative games---if that is even a game.
 
I feel your pain, I picked up Phoenix Wright, Trauma Center and Castlevania. My "Must Have" is looking like this:

11/14 - Mario Kart
11/14 - Black & White: Creatures (maybe)
11/15 - Viewtiful Joe (I hope this is delayed)
11/21 - Burnout Revenge
11/12 - Sonic Rush
11/28 - Mario & Luigi 2
12/5 - Animal Crossing (this is the one game that I know I will definately have on launch)
 
yeah I have been laid up for 6 weeks. I thought I would get tons of gaming in but truth be told I felt like shit and played games for maybe 5 -10 hours total over that period.

I had reserved many Ds games and now I have to many to even play... Though castlevania is taking up most my time on the DS now.
 
My wallet cries in pain looking at the DS release list.. though I think I'm done for a while after I finish Phoenix Wright and Castlevania. I can't ignore Radiata Stories, the Okami Demo (thanks Apossum :mrgreen: ), Shadow of the Colossus and Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance
 
Dude your telling me... Nintendo been eating all my Gaming funds...

I just sold my Blue DS system... (getting a red mario kart DS bundle when it's out)

If I havn't sold it... I would of gotten Advance wars & trauma center this week...

I have been DS-Less for 3 days & I'm goin crazy... trying to restrain myself not to go out and buy another 1 LOLz...
 
I highly doubt EP will be out next month.

I just got Trauma Center and Lost in Blue, and now I need to get Castlevania. Phoenix Wright will be a used buy for me if I ever get it at all, and after that the next tihng I buy will be Mario Kart.

Games I know of that will be mine:

Mario Kart
Animal Crossing
Partners in Time (M&L 2)
Ult. Card Game
Ult. Brain Game
Electroplankton (If it comes out)

Games that may be mine:

Sonic Rush
Viewtiful Joe
Burnout

Thorw new MArio and Metroid in there for beginning of '06 and we have a nice year.

You bought all those games but you missed the best one: Castlevania.
 
It does suck in terms of money, but I fucking love how all these awesome games are coming out. Especially because they're all really innovative and unique. I mean, there are several PS2 games coming out I'm looking forward to (24, Ratchet: Deadlocked, etc.), but those games, even though they'll be fun, just don't have the same kind of awesomeness that comes with games where you do stuff like perform surgery with your stylus. OMFG THE DS RUELS!!!!!1111
 
I have a DS and have only one game for it (AWDS). Stuff like Trauma Center, Phoenix Wright, etc look cool and all, but I know they will drop in price soon enough so I will just get it then.
 
the 11/1 release date for EP is on the gamestop website.

Yeah i missed castlevania. i'm not much into platformers....last platformer i played and finished is Astroboy for GBA. i might rent it though to see if i actually like it.

I think that is a mistake personally, I wouldn't doubt that both of these games become somewhat rare in early-mid 06.
 
DS games don't drop much. Production costs are higher and they retail for less than home console games. But on the plus side, you don't have to worry about scratched discs when you buy them used.
 
sigh, i have 7 games for my DS (8 tomorrow, Phoenix Wright!) and i've only owned my DS for less than 2 months. i've only completed 2 of those 7 games, damn that Nintendo.

I thought the production costs were lower for the DS....there's a link somewhere about it.

That was my understanding, too, and it helps to explain why the DS is getting so much support... companies are willing to role the dice on a smaller development and publishing cost.

Anyway, the thought of Tingle RPG is kind of appealing to me, actually. If Nintendo does it right, it could be the funniest spoof of RPGs ever.
 
October has been a killer...6 DS games and its not over yet since I still got Dig Dug: Digging Strike and Metroid Pinball to close it out in the month's final 2 weeks.

And cripes....Don't even get me started with November....

One game I don't see anyone mention and yet I want just as much as Mario Kart is Puzzle Bobble (Bust-A-Move), it looks fantastic and actually BETTER than the PSP version.
 
In the past three days I bought Castlevania, Trauma Center, and Trace Memory, bringing my total of DS games up to 11. And I still need to buy Phoenix Wright, Ultimate Spiderman, and Ouendan.

Haha! Why is everybody so down on Tingle? I think he's a pretty hilarious character. Maybe he's a little useless, and LoZ: WW turned him into an uber rip-off artist, but so what?

I thought he was used nicely in The Minish Cap and think a Tingle RPG would be some funny stuff.
 
For those of you waiting to pick up some of these games, I just wanted to point out the Trauma Center is backordered on EBgames.com and Phoenix Wright is backordered on Gamestop.com. May mean nothing, but I dunno.

I have owned my for less than a month and I have 6 games now. I am loving my ds.

I had to check four different stores before I found Trauma Center, and three for Phoenix Wright.
 
I wonder if these games got low prints, or are jsut popular a new shipments will hit stores soon? Gamestop doesn't indicate that any of the stores around me are getting any more shipments of PW in, but I don't know how reliable that is.
 
after such a busy/good month for the DS, I am glad there isn't anything I want from now until Mario Kart DS comes out. I definitely need a break from buying DS stuff :)

I own 1 game and working toward buying/trading for another and I don't even have a DS yet.
