My name is Brandon,
also known as Don Wuebos here on CAG..

i recently ran into some financial problems and have had problems dealing with.
ANd today to the Most unfortunate circumstance, both my Microsoft Zune and Microsoft Xbox 360 broke within the same 12 hour period....The Zune was luckily taken care of in store, but the 360 story isn't the same.

I've been on the phone a total of 4 times today, starting at 5pm and it is now 10.43pm....

They've said they can repair the system for 139.00 which is something that cannot really be done by myself....

If anyone can offer anything to me as far as knowledge of customer services, or basically anything in general to help me out in this situation it would be to the greatest apprecation.

I appreciate the help from anyone who is willing to help me out...
Feel free to PM as well as respond in this thread.

Thank you so much.

Sincerely,
brandon.

Call them up and tell them getting XXX amount of months out of your $400 console is unacceptable. Demand to only pay (what you could realistically afford). It couldn't hurt.

140 is too high personally, but they didn't offer me a warranty when i bought the system and i would buy a warranty through them which they didn't acknowledge either, does anyone know a number where i can talk to someone who isn't a customer service peon?
Its just a console, I don't think we needed that heart felt of an OP.
Yeah, I thought this was gonna be one of those sympathetic posts, where they ask for prayers for someone in peril.

its not meant to be sympathetic or anything by any means...i just wanted help from anyone who could help...if not it's fine then...ill just be without a 360, not really a big deal.

Try to fix it yourself. And if that doesnt work trade it in towards a Wii and pray they dont test it.....

Sorry thats all I have.

Do what Ross Perot would do. Call customer service back and push them hard, demanding to speak with the top man. Whenever you want something done, you need to see the top man.

Seriously, keep pressing them about it. They'll crack. Tell them their reputation for faulty consoles is losing customers and that you know a lot of people who have been sitting on the fence about buying a 360 this Christmas and that your horror story will push them towards buying a Wii.

All I can suggest is:
DONT raise your voice and get mad or use insults
DO ask to talk to their supervisor(if they wont help ask to talk to someone even higher)
DO casually bring up reporting this incident to the bbb.

I too thought they extended the manufactures warranty for another year so I think it should cover it. Tell them you read that somewhere online and ask them why they wont fix it for free.
Good Luck! :)
