Already figured that, its all the older peopled (45+) who are playing it. A lot of IGN's podcasts have talked about how nintendo has changed the age of gamer, and how the amount of older people playing the wii is amazing. It also explains the poor software sales from most games, because they buy the wii and they just want to play wii sports.

I'm on misson 7 of Lost Planet. So far, I like it. I'm having fun blasting things and trying to figure out the story, or lack thereof. I'm going to play Uncharted this week, and then some Folklore. Plus the VF5 tournament.

lol,ol. I'm going to guess the average age of the people who took their survey is 29, because no one under 13 can take it. Comparing your attach rate to the PS2's, one year into its life, is maximally misleading, and is probably supposed to impress but doesn't. Once they start beating PS2's attach rate in its later life (aka when it got all the good games,) then they've made some progress.

Started up Lost planet for that circle tonight. I have to say after hearing everyone hating on it I didn't expect much from it. I am actually really enjoying the game, I have to admit the plasma thing did turn me off when I first booted it up. I was thinking oh great this is like a time game and I wont be able to explore anything. Due to having to rush through it and get as much of the plasma stuff to keep my health up. I seem to get more then enough plasma to be able to explore. So yeah I don't understand why a lot of people hated it but to each their own I guess. I'll be keeping this baby in my collection and here recently thats hard to do, with me making huge cuts and trimming the fat from my collection.

Ok here's my version of Shepard. I didn't spend a lot of time with it, be gentle with any comments, plz.

So anyone else do something similar?

I'd give that Shepard my crook.

I fired up Wartech last night. It's decent, if a little shallow. The nerd points basically come from playing online (there were no other people online when I tried it out) and beating the same game with various characters/in different modes. Not sure whether I want to simply beat the game over and over just for the points. Will probably move on.

Pretty fun game. I got to play a little bit before my 360 died again, and it was cool. Wish folks played online, though.

So anyone else do something similar?
Mine looks almost the same, minus the red hair and upside-down pear head.

Started playing Assassin's Creed again. Only one + 1/2 memory blocks to go.

Started playing some :gc:Zelda: Four Swords today. Wow, what an underrated single-player experience. I'm sure its fun with multiplayer, but who's gonna get 3 friends with GBA's and cables? The single-player is a great adventure and highly recommended to any Zelda fan.

I'm also on the second disc now of Chrono Cross, sitting at just over 30 hrs. I assume I'm nearing the end because the boss battles have gotten a little bit tougher.
How long does assassins take to finsh?
Does anyone want to do wartech cheesements with me?
I haven't clocked it myself, but I think around 10 hours if you did the bare minimum to assassinate your targets. Much longer if you tried to do everything else.

I'll do some of those Wartech online achievements if you want. The 3 "Gain X Rank In A Ranked Match" shouldn't take any time at all. I'm not going to sit there and go through 100 ranked matches for a weak 20 points though, heh.

Good games, Rei. We were pretty evenly matched, I think. I love VF5 mind games.

I need to get a lot better about watching for mid hits and working on counters with pai. I also don't use throws enough. Never played a good eileen player, she's brutal when you're in the corner. I just had to sit and watch pai get bounced against the wall for 4-5 hits. Eileen's combos seem to be a good mix of low/high with the random mid thrown in, so it's easy to get cought off guard.

Yeah, good games. We were pretty evenly matched, it was funny.

As you saw, I have trouble against characters like Pai and Lau. It was good practice though. I think I picked up some new strategies to use.

Well, I have trouble with fast characters like eileen, so it was all good. Those jumping forward mids were killing me in the beginning. That high-high-mid-low-high string (I think that's what it was) was getting overused and I was able to see it coming a bit, try not to rely on that as much.

I always seem to pick the fast/mind game characters in fighters.. Xianghua in Soul Calibur, Chun Li in SF.. etc. But I also like power characters sometimes, like Nightmare in Soul Calibur. I should try learning wolf or jeffry sometime.

I started mixing up that combo a bit at the end when I finally noticed you blocking it. That's one of the things you helped me fix XD

I tend to pick characters that are kind of in the middle. Eileen is probably one of the faster characters I actually use seriously. Well I do use Jam in Guilty Gear, so I guess there's two.

yeah unfortunately pai doesn't seem to have a low option from her diagonal down punch starter. You blocked that one every time. You used throws pretty well too. I need to get better at that, because Pai's suppossedly got quick throws that are good for making people do things that open up for that quick mid launcher she's got.

I also wanted to add that Phoenix Wright 3 is the best of the series yet. The writing and scenarios are so good, and they added a lot more new characters. The subtle changes to the music are great too. Any of you who've not gotten around to it yet should play it ASAP. Even the first case is great and filled with laugh out loud moments.

i posted this in the rock band thread in the 360 forum but realized this might be a better place for opinions lol

anyone else get their email for the free EA game
im not sure what to choose lol
simpsons
nhl 08
moh airborne

nba live 08

atm im leaning towards command and conquer(360 dont have a pc good enough to run it)

Was one of my picks for GOTY. The game was amazing. Especially the last case, and the ending.

Gave Command and Conquer 3 a try just now after having the Kane Edition sitting on my shelf since like... March. So far, it's really good. The campaign seems to be more scripted than the standard "go destroy the enemy base right now" because it's got stuff like maps that expand after you complete an objective and some other stuff, but it's a good thing. Graphics aren't particularly impressive, but who cares? I'll give the game a good amount of time tomorrow, maybe.

didn't do much gaming today other than advance further on Jeanne D'Arc on psp. it's filling out to be a pretty solid SRPG.

Probably going to focus on Wii for the next couple of days to get some gamecube/wii games out of the way and checked off the backlog.

Strange, I really can't get into the third game. Maybe the premise is just wearing extremely thin on me.

Havent posted in one of these yet so I thought why the hell not. I didnt do a lot of gaming today just messed around on Rock Band. Been stuck on that stupid outlaws song on drums for a while now and starting to get REALLY pissed about it...... Tomorrow going to re fire up some Mass Effect and lord knows what else my backlog is outta control!!!

I just started playing Hotel Dusk: Room 215.

What a great game, especially if you like Film Noir style like I do. Sometimes it is hard to figure out what to do though, but I still like it alot.

Shane (Mangod) Bettenhausen said on 1up yours that persona 4 was "thattriple" exclusive.

Shove it boomberg.

Wartech wore a little thin on me last night, so I fired up Lost Planet to start working towards finishing the campaign. Gotta say I enjoyed it a lot. I know the reviews were mixed, but the levels so far have been a lot of fun to play.

I topped that off with Carcassone late last night and hit the 2000 point achievement, leaving me only the 5000 point achievement to go.

Who wants to Virtua Fighter or Tekken 5?
People in tournament remeber that you have to fight by the end of this week or you get Disqualified!

Linkpwns when you ready to fight?

Azumangaman hasn't been on T.T He was on once, but I said to wait a few minutes while I finished the Mass Effect playthrough I was on. Unfortunately he had signed off by then.

man Mario 64 is hard!

I hate how u face one direction and want to go in another direction so u press that direction but Mario runs in a circle before heading off in the intended direction...

it makes u fall off small platforms so much >_

I just want DMC4.
I have enough to hold me over.

Plus im gonna get both versions of DMC.
Beat all difficulties on both versions.

and 1000/1000 that bitch on the xblox version.

So I finally get my 4th Xbox back from repair today, and wouldn't you know it - ANOTHER problem. This time, my Gamertag was deemed inappropriate so I have to change my Gamertag. I'm thinking whatever, not the end of the world. Wouldn't you know it though, something doesn't work right! I click A to change my Gamertag, and it says "You must be signed into Xbox Live to access the marketplace".

So I can't sign onto Live because I can't change my Gamertag and I can't change my Gamertag because I can't sign onto Live.

Of course Customer Service isn't being helpful AT ALL. I'm on the phone w/ my 3rd representative. The first two told me things that didn't work (change it from xbox.com and renew my gold before trying to change it).

fuck

Edit: Nice, guy number 3 says to try recovering my Gamertag from a friend's house. That's bullshit. I just want to play fucking Call of Duty 4. I fucking hate this shit. I think I'm going to call back and just bitch to the supervisor.
