A good way for a freshman to make some $$?

Hello fellow CAGs,
I've been lurking for quite some time on this site for the best deals on electronics, video games, etc. and I have to say, I've saved hundreds because of you guys. For that, I thank you.
However, my income is very low ($10 a week allowance ). I need something I want something I can do on the internet to make some good money. I am almost 15. If anything requires a SSN, I won't be able to register.
Please, help a teen in need?
Well if ur a freshman u can deal drugs to everyone in the school :D and the principal will let it slide cuz ur a freshman.
Sounds like a plan, but first I must acquire them.

Sell stuff. If you stop using something, sell it. If you think it's cool but you're not gonna do much with it, sell it. You'll pull in lots of money.
I'm 15, and not currently eligible for a work permit, so I know how it is. I don't get allowance though, so you're lucky. :p

If you live in the midwest it might not be too late to work in the cornfields. Try to find a restaurant and work as a busboy or dishwasher.

if you got a credit card, sign up on websites for people as referrals, can usually get 20-30 dollars for signing up for a 10 dollar or less product.

Set up a Paypal account and get a webcam. I'm sure you can figure out the rest.

It's a trap!

Well, you should just do what I do. I supply gamegold and nexon cash to people. I supply the gold, then my friend sells to someone. We split the profits, i get about $100 a month doing this. I also fixed consoles too, usually for around $20 depending on what it was. I also sold modchips to people and installed for them, although this is a bit more difficult. Now I mostly just deal in gold because I fixed/modded everyones that I could.

Doing all of that I made a almost a thousand in a single year. These days I make a couple hundred a year.

I actually did do something similar to this. I did hack PSPs for a living, but there are no more vict I mean customers for that. As for the gamegold and junk, there isn't anyone I know who plays nexon games and only a very few amount of people i know play MMOs. However they are all complete addicts and I can easily conclude they don't need gold.

Also to the other guy, I would referee but I'm not involved in sports (atm). I really wanted to be a chacha guide but I'm too young.

I don't have a credit card.

There aren't any local areas that are hiring for a paper route kind of thing.

And I will get a job when I'm 16, you can't legally get a job here unless you're 16. Even if I did have a job before I was 16, I would have to hitch rides everyday.

i'll sell u my box how to be a billioner in less then 1min for 12billion dollars PM ME BACK ASAP THANKZ

Serious answer here, be a referee/umpire for the youth sports in your area, be it soccer, baseball, lacrosse, etc. The hours are great for a young kid (since the games are always weekday evenings), and you will make $15-$30 a game which is close to $15-$30 an hour. Go on your city website and look around in the youth sports section.

What?
If Videogames are your prime use for money, then just post up a tradelist. No need to gather up money, direct trades. Good deals too.
Already sold all the games I don't play.
if you're semi intelligent, tutor the kids in your area

babysit

mow lawns

walk dogs

all under the table ^^
This would be possible if my dad would let me go somewhere other than home or school.

I went through this when I was your age. Try doing lawnwork or beg your parents for extra money. Selling drugs wouldn't be a bad idea either

I'm a freshman (well not any more since school let out) but I mainly resell games. I can make about $150 a week scavenging through pawn shops and reselling on Ebay. I also repair and mod PSPs in my spare time. I doubt many can do the last one but try the first.

You can sign up to websites like prizerebel and gaminglagoon, but if you want to earn cash or games fast, you'll need to do something like yourfree360games and/or sign up as a referral under people who are paying $25/$30 for referrals.

Now you say you have no access to a credit card, but that is no problem. Just go to your nearest grocery store and buy a visa gift card, which can be used just like a credit card. If you want to make a lot of money, I suggest you use the card on yourfree360games and then sell what ever games you get from the site.

I've already modded/repaired nearly everyone's PSP that I know of (if you would've read above you'd know this)

This sounds like an excellent idea.

you know.. i had a bike when i was 15 and my parents didn't care where i went..

then again I worked as a busboy (mind you this was back in 99 so min wage has gone up since then..) but i worked 2 days a week 4 hours each and got paid in tips as well as min wage i was paid i would say around 5.25 an hour then walked home with about 15 dollars a day in tips, sometimes more but usually always 15 a day.. so i made a little over 8 bucks an hour when i was 15.. not too bad.. considering the only bills i had was a car that i saved up money to buy and all my "tip money" basically went towards v-games and CDs.. i still remember the first game I bought with money i earned.. it was Gran Turismo GH .. i love that game ..still to this day i play that one mroe then any other.

edit:

selling stuff on EBAY is a great idea.. but you know unless you have high demand items and if you have a lot of capital up front (meaning you need to spend at least 100 to make 200.. then you figure you got to "grow a little bit" and before you know it its worse then a job)

i wouldn't mow lawns thats too tedius.. buit if I were you I would take online college classes as soon as you can.. get out of high school/college as soon as possible and start really making money..

Oh boy, do I feel your pain, I went through the exact same thing. You've heard the saying "You need money, to make money", right? I always thought I would never make money, as I didn't have any to start with. Well, when you get pretty desperate, you start thinking serious thoughts. What I would do, is every Saturday, get up at 9:00, and head on over to my local library. I would always choose the 2nd story computers, as it was quiet and peaceful up there. Anyways, I would search on Google, upon hours and hours "Get rich quick", "How to make money fast", "Cheap Video Games", etc. The last one is how I found this site ;)

I was starting to see a pattern, because at the library, your limited to one hour, that's all. So, one hour out of the week, I would do this. It was getting me nowhere. What I needed was more time, or at least my own computer. I asked my parents for a computer, to which they said no. So I thought about it, and headed over onto "Pass it on", my local thrift store. There, I found an old Compaq Presario, with one of those huge CRT beige monitors. Took me 3 trips, from there, to my house. I lived about 6 blocks away, but I was determined. You should have seen me, 100 pounds, scrawny arms, carrying this huge bulky computer screen.

Later on that night, I had no idea of the inner working of a computer. I took everything apart, screw by screw, and dusted and cleaned everything, carefully transcribing everything I did, so I could put it back together. After I had cleaned it, it took a good hour or so, but I figured out where everything plugged into. Lo and behold, my own computer :)

I had my own personal computer, Windows XP Home Basic Edition, and I was pumped. Now here's where the real learning begin. I had a 256MB USB Drive that I would take to the library, and pirate as much E-books as I could, over various topics such as Web Design, Pyramid Schemes, Getting Things Done, just general things I thought could help me get rich. I would take them home, and just absord the knowledge. That's where I learned webdesign, and I remmeber doing my first design. I got $600 in a week, and I was just shocked. It was delivered to my Paypal account, but being 15, I couldn't retreive the money. So I got my Grandma to hook her bank account to it, and Boom, I had money. So you could go that route, or just get a "Cash under the table" job, like I used to have, washing the damn dishes >_<

Random ideas you could do:

I'm sure you were with everyone else when the Pokemon card craze was around, right? Why not try completing a collection, be it all the Base set, or the Neo Destiny set, or something, and sell it as a whole?

One thing I used to do, is go around....well, whenever I got the chance, as I had no car, but when we WOULD go to McDonalds, or Dairy Queen, I would ask for one of there Largest cup sizes, but with no ice and no drink. They always looked at me like I was weird. Then the next time I would come in, I would just refill the cups with Soda, for free, as it's legal :), that saved me about $2 evertime I was thirsty for a 32oz.

If you find your really competive at games, you could do another thing I used to do. Get a group of people at school, and hold a game tournament, where everone throws a $20 into a bucket, and the winner get's it all. I made about $400 winning a Smash Bros Mellee tournament ;)

Almost any fast food place will hire you... seriously, look for a job at a McDonalds or something. I heard it's a damn easy job as they usually keep lots of workers around (except during graveyard shifts).

It is, I even asked. They said free refills. Just because I decided not to throw away my cup, doesn't justify anything ;)
