It seems to me that every PC gamepad has a weird akward D-Pad. Does anyone know (without the use of converters) a decent usb gamepad? It also needs to have 6-buttons. I am using the microsoft sidewinder which isn't pad but for fighting games it is a nightmare. Any suggestions?

That's just the way they are, PC controllers suck, you just have to kinda find the lesser of the evils, Currently I'm using a Thrustmaster game pad, dual analog(it's the only one whos analog sticks havnt crapped out on me after 2 months). The Dpad is okay but still not perfect.

Except on the PC version, there's not a huge freaking pole sticking up from the D-Pad.

People suggest the Airflow to me but seeing as the thristmaster has been holding together I havent had a need to buy a new one.

Yeah, I just bought a PS2 to PC adapter off ebay for about $10 including shipping. I really hope it works for FFXI cause i finnaly got frustrated with my wifes 14 plus hour a day addiction and moved to the PC for some play time. I am really looking forward to using the PS2 controller for it. *crosses fingers*

It's funny that you say that. Sega made a USB Saturn pad for Puyo Pop. It's an exact duplicate of the Japanese Saturn pad.[/quote]
