A job at eb or gamestop

So I'm finally gonna get a job and I was thinking about trying eb or gamestop. But, how old do you have to be to work there? I'm 16 and I'm assuming that would be old enough but you never know. Also, if anyone has any adivice about working at either of these places that would also be helpful.
Thanks!

Be careful to be nice to every customer in the store no matter how annoying they are. Game stores have pros and cons and Im sure you'll have a good time if the other employee's are chill. Good Luck!

You must be 18 to work at EB, and probably Gamestop as well. This is due to the sale of Mature rated titles.

YMMV, though. My EB didn't hire 16 year olds.

Last I heard, which was 2 or so years ago, Gamestop did hire 16 year-old's.

its possible, but not probable, unless you and the manager are best buddies, 98 out of a hundred times hes going to pick the 20something kid with experiece

You don't know how much working at either one sucks until you actually work there. But I can't judge you or anything, when I was your age it was the job I wanted too.

Yea im pretty sure thats the policy at all EBgames and Gamestops If you aren't old enough to acquire it, then you aren't old enough to sell it.

still[/i] have that quote in your sig. Then again, there is something timeless about it.

And yes, GS hires at 16.

I've said it before and I'll say it again; That quote sums up how I felt those entire two years working there. I love you Led......but in an entirely platonic way. :p

That's very YYMV. I know 16 year olds work at GS near me, and for that matter a lot of 19 year old bartenders. Just because you can't use does not mean you can't buy it or serve it.

In SOME states, stores hire at 16. I beleive in California, its 18. However, just because you WANT to work somewhere, dosn't actual mean your going to get hired. Stores very rarley hire a 16 y/o with no experience, has to go to school, and sometimes can't even drive. Trust me. I ran a store for a couple of years (Gme Crazy), and you wouldn't beleive how many people apllied, and how little I ever called any back (Most were 16, no experience,) Honestly, at your age, work at a grocery store. The pay may suck, and the job might, but its good experience with customers and stocking.

Back when I worked at Gamestop, any apps we took went into what I call the "Perpetual Pile of Misfortune" probably to never be looked through again.
