a question about mic/headsets

I was wondering if anyone knew the size of the mic input on a xbox360 controller. the headset that they sell keeps breaking and im tired of calling them and having it replaced so im gonna buy a new (hopefully) sturdy and legitimate headset and I (not knowing too much in the way of audio) need to know what size plug I should look for.peace.thanks.

1/8" jack any cell phone headset (sans noika) will work.

is that 1.8mm? because all the ones I see online are in mm and im only semi versed in metric. also will I only find cell headsets in that mesure because if possible I realy want a sturdy "real" one.thanks.

Its 3.5mm IIRC

3.5 mm is the normal standard headphone jacks, 2.5 mm is the type for cellphones.
