A question about paying for stuff online with Credit Cards...

CAGiversary!
I am writing this because there are certain things I want to buy online that require me to use a Credit Card. I am sort of banned from using a card right now, so I was curious to know if there were any ways to pay for certain goods online without having to use a real credit card.

For example, is it true that you could use a gift card and charge stuff to that?

Thank you for your time.

[edit] Whoops, I just realized that I am on the wrong board.

you could use virtual credit card with paypal

some store like best buy allow you to use gift card on their website.

I believe visa (and probably other CC companies) have prepaid credit card type things... Companies give them out as contest prizes a lot, so you could try looking into that.

If you're "sort of banned" from using a credit card, wouldn't it be a good idea to not buy anything? Or does that make too much sense?
Why are you paying for porn subscriptions anyways?
He needs to pay $12 a minute to have some guy with a high voice posing as a woman talk dirtily (Is that even a word/correct spelling?) to him

Depending on what you're into, you should pay in order to motivate the producers to continue producing. "Regular" stuff, nah, plenty of that for free....but if you're interested in "specialization", it helps to fund them.....So I've heard. And I'm not talking about men-as-women-talking-dirty. That comes free with your WoW or EQ subscription.

Anyway, there's also those prepaid VISA cards, which cost extra, but if you really needed it, might be worth a short. Check your local bank or credit union.

Ultimately, I'd have to ask why are you 'banned' from using a credit card? Make sure you have solved whatever problem led to that, first, before you get back into the habit of spending 'electronic' money. It's a hole that gets real deep real quick.
