"A Video Game in Which You Make Video Games Fights Pirates with Piracy"

I'm sad now, here I thought it was going to be a game where you controlled pirates (arghhh!) vs. pirates who pirate things (hey I can download it)

How cool would that be?

I read about this before, it's kind of interesting, I never heard of the game before and decided to download the "lite" version off of the Windows 8 marketplace to try it out because of this, so I'm sure the free publicity the game is getting from this is helping it out.

Oh you know it, that's just what everybody wants! ^.^

This is a clever and constructive approach to dealing with software piracy. It's also delightfully ironic. Personally, I think developers need to go even farther with this approach. One of the biggest disadvantages of software piracy is that one a cracked version is in the wild, the original cracker loses control of it. There is plenty of room for exploiting the fragmented community surrounding software piracy.
