what does ethnicity have to do with it?

I think it is more that Startropics was never as popular as Nintendo's other series which is more the reason for its neglect. I really do wish they would have included some trophies from it and they should def. make a sequel to the game for the GCN

Me and one of my friends think the whole trophies thing might have been part of a whole different project that was abandoned.

Its almost like they were working on a Nintendo encyclopedia and they abandoned it, but instead of just throwing it away they tacked it onto SSBM. but that's just a theory. I dough we'll ever really find out why the trophies were added.

They probably didn't use anything from StarTropics because it was only released in the U.S. and never in Japan. So I guess we were lucky and they got screwed one time in a million in that department.

I think that was just to paint the scene. Obviously with a japanese company they're going to be asian. Why are so many people here scared of mentioning ethnicity in any way?

Not quite "obviously." Im sure a white person can be hired in Japan, but i could be wrong.

The whole subject of race is quite dumb to me, as long as you arent just bashing an entire country, i really dont care what is said. (im asian by the way)

Any reason why it wasn't released in Japan?

I don't know. Good question.

I wish they had the Sub-C, Mike, ROB, or the map that dissolved in water as a trophy.

Did anyone else notice how terribly inaccurate the updated Mach Rider trophy looked compared to the original?
