Just thought I'd give a heads up that is is really easy to get some of these games. While looking through the exclusion list, I noticed Jampacks Winter 03 and later, and Xbox Exhibition volumes 3 and later are NOT EXCLUDED. I just got Kessen 3 for WTA Tennis (PS2, and $1.50 at TRU), Jampack volume 10 and 11, and Exhibition volume 5 and 6.

EDIT - Winter 03 IS on the exclusion list - anything after that ISN't.

D'oh! Thanks for the heads up - although I knew I had to edit it when I got some phone call from a guy named "Trekken" asking me if I wanted any CAG scented love oils

Jampacks...work??? Damn, I just traded in my winter 2003 for $5 credit.

Edit: Jampack winter 2003 is listed on the exclusion list. I think you have a different demo disk. I believe I saw some at TRU before; they contained some of the demos in winter 2003 but they were labelled vol. 11 or something and I think were yellow. My winter 2003 had a blue cover.

Yea true, its probably 04 Jampacks. My winter 03 jampack on my receipt doesn't say vol. xx, its says w03

Courageous - right, I think I've seen the volume ones before clearanced at TRU for $4.98 or some other high price.

Just curious, how does Kessen play? It's strategy but what about the battles, is it just automatic/menu base or like DW or DW: Empires where you actually have to do the fighting?

I've already got DMC3 preordered but I might pick up Splinter Cell or Kessen 3.

Um it depends. Jampack volume 10 WAS greentagged at TRU last monthbut it wasn't when I went today. I saw Jampack volume 11 at CC for 4.99, same with Exhibition volume 6 was at Best Buy for 4.99. At worst if you paid 4.99 for them new youd get DMC 3 for half price. Some of these were also part of the KMart sale.

HOWEVER, you might check to see if your EB has some in used. Then you can wait until the Buy 2 Get 1 Free that starts on the 18th and get them for even cheaper.

I have your number, prepare for a 4am wakeup call!

Just kidding

I apologize for asking this, since it's probably been answered somewhere else, but I would really appreciate the help.

Where can I find the exclusion list? My bro's birthday is coming up, and it would make his day if I was able to get him a pre-paid Doom 3 CE (Xbox), and it would make my day if I could get it for him using this great TRU deal.

Also, any recommendations on which games to look for and trade in?

Check the bottom of my original post - I linked to the exclusion list.

Recommendations? Look for games NOT on the list :) And even if they are, it may be worth it anyways if they are cheapop, since EB is giving out an extra $10 per 2 non-sports games. But that's another thread...

Thanks, Dave. It seems like I have a problem with my browser or firewall, it seems. The links at the bottom of your post didn't show up. However, I hit the quote button on your post and found the link. Thanks! :)

I looked at the fine print on the website but I didn't see if you can trade in multiple copies of the same game. Can You?

I'd say the OP lucked out here . . . YMMV on getting jampacks and exhibition discs to come up for $10 in credit.

In other words, do this quickly because EB is likely to update and elminate these.

I thought people were lucky to get $5 for them.

Just some clarification, the exclusion list in the stores can be different than the one on the website, as items can be added at the store level.

The trade 2 get $10 extra promotion does not include sports games, but other excluded titles work ok.

Akuma: No you can only trade one copy of any given game.

ymmv, I heard EB is cracking down on people doing it.

Schultzed, the computer AUTOMATICALLY does it. The employee scans them in, then wqhen he enters the SKU for Kessen III or whatever game it auto adjusts. So if its not working its the employee's fault, not the promotion

Look at my receipt - PO-WTA TOUR TN P2 - the PO means its NOT on the exclusion list. The exclusion list games show up as POX - check your trade in receipts for the difference - I know you have some :)

And soe other cheap games not on the ex list:
Rygar
Maximo AoZ
Gungrave OD
Shikigami 2

From looking at my receipts it seems that Jampack of Summer 03 is a PO and NOT a POX game, receipt says PO-JAMPK/SM3(M), so looks like this one is acceptable as well.

How old is your receipt though? Maybe it was a recent addition to the exclusion list...?

Dang! I really want to get in on this, but I can't find five cheap games. My TRU sucks. >_< Cheapest game they have is $30 for CoR.

Any advice on where else to look? :( I really wanna get Kessen 3, DMC3, and Iron Phoenix...

TRU is the easiest choice. But if you can find cheap nonsports games during EB's buy 2 get 1 free sale, then trade them back you can slowly earn enough credit to buy 1 of the games. If your gamestop has any sale like that go there first since their games are really cheap.

-Megaman - are you sure you're looking at the greentag games? have you asked the employees there? It's unusual that they don't have any greentag games, unless someone hoarded all of them.

some semi cheap PS2 *must be PS2 version* games that were not on exclusion list as of 2/1(when I traded them in)
Backyard wrestling
Hobbit
Hitman 2
PK: out of the shadows

holy shit, you are getting $10 for jampacks? i traded in a ton of pennied out jampacks from cc, and also got a ton of cheap jampacks from bestbuy using GGC, but $10 is fucking insane. I mean that is insane.

nice work dave.

Other tan asking, is there an easy way to find out what is excluded. Sports are a no brainer, but what about the rest?

Believe me, I know the PO and POX difference . . . I've been working EB over as much as I can. And yes, the computer is the key on these deals . . . clerks are happy to turn you away if they can but can't if the machine takes it.

But this is pretty insane for EB and my point is that I bet they will POX these babies soon (but it could be a month for all I know).

The best they can sell the traded Jampacks for is $4 . . . I've screwed EB but usually in a way where they will break even.

I traded in Xenosaga (free at TRU with the $5 off coupon in Dec), Mafia, Hitman 2, Bloodrayne (stuff I paid $2-3 for) and got $12.50 each on their 4 for a game deals (over now and I just returned the games for credit). But those are games they will sell in the over $10 range.

My TRU sucks . . . I did pick 4 older JPs to get $5 on. But the newer ones are $4.99 and not green tagged . . . too bad they have about 10 of each of the last 2 #10 and #11?

No Exhibition discs in sight.

I had some trouble getting the jerk at eb to do this for me. First the jabroni says there is no 5 for 1 deal going on. After about 5 minutes of ignorance, he scans my games. $16.xx before adding on the extra $10 per 2 used games. He says you have $56.xx trade in credit for 8 games. I said what about those 2 right there (Jampack 10 and 11). He says those are demos and we don't take them. After informing him that I had a copy of their exclusion list in my hand, they were not on it, he needed to check the list, and I had just driven an hour to do the deal, he picked up a flier and said, "Oh that deal was on this flier the whole time." He then scanned the games about 3 times to get me Wrestlemania 21 for Xbox. Then he very reluctantly scanned the games about 5 more times each trying to get MX vs ATV Unleashed. He said that deal is not going on so I had to get Splinter Cell. Now I have to make 2 separate trips back because "We only hold them 24 hours for you." I'd like to drag that jerk outside and teach him a lesson. If you're the jerk at the Greenwood, Indiana store who had me at the register for 30 minutes while the rest of the store was standing behind me trying to check out, be forwarned: Don't give me any crap when I come back to get my games!

I went last night and Got Doom 3 CE xbox reserved. After reading on here and EB, I thought I would give it a try. I didn't use jampacks though. They were all games from the Kmart, Bestbuy Friends/Family coupon this weekend. The games cost me approx. $14. Plus, I was confused when I went in.....

I told the lady I was there to get the "trade 5 get Doom 3 CE for free deal"

She looked at me like I was crazy. After ringing them up she said "you owe $14 difference".

I said "no, I just looked it up and it said free with 5 games".

She say's "it gives you $50 credit towards the game and that I would have to pay the difference".

I started to get mad, then said "I just looked it up".

The other guy working says "just ring it up, there must be a new promotion".

So, she goes and gets the phone, calls two different managers, one being the district manager.

She gets off with him and says "he's the district manager and he doesn't evn know about this promotion yet".

So, then she goes through with it and overrode the current promotion and gave me $12 something per game. In the end I ended up getting the Doom 3 CE pre-ordered for the 5 games. :)

Then I traded a couple more games for $10 credit.

Plus, I checked their guides and found Transformers and Dawn 40,000 something for the PC. I took them up and she had a total look of shock when she rang them up.

She said, "how did you know about these?"

I said "I just know".

She say's "we aren't supposed to sell you these" so she marked out the bar codes and gave them to me. Saved $.02 :)

Pretty good night at my EB. :)

PS after I got home I checked the promotion online. She was right, it say's "$50 towards Doom 3 CE". I should have had to pay the extra $14 and change.
how did you get $10 for EACH game? I thought it was an extra $10 for for every 2 games.
Because that's not the deal he did, he did the trade-in-5-towards-a-game deal and got $10 each.

I just called my (3) local EB stores & no one know about this promotion (Trade-in 5 games & get 1 FREE) :(

I really wanted

Devil May Cry 3 (PS2)
Doom 3 Collectors Ed (Xbox)
Kessen III (PS2)
Star Fox Assault (GC)
