That jesus camp movie is ridiculous, I've only seen the trailer and when I saw it, I immediately thought of the dumb American consumers who will believe THAT is how Christianity really is and/or becoming.
It makes me sad how pathetic modern American Christianity has become. Almost every person who claims to be a Christian has just been raised in it, or if they've just become one recently, hasn't studied the history of what it is, how it came about, the Jewish culture back in Jesus' times etc. etc. But I guess that's the problem with all religions and beliefs. Everybody just tags along and doesn't question why.
I think if Paul or any of the other major original influences who actually spread Christianity saw what it is in America, they would be ashamed of what it's become.
And yes I do think landover baptist is a hilarious site.

im going to go more extreem then that, and say that if jesus saw what his disiples did, just one generation later after his death, he would be in true dispare, if not already. The disiples just dident 
in get it. The christianity we see now with thier manifest destiny is just awfull. They need to take a histroy lession. Lots of them. Hell they just need to read the bible and not try to justify passages to conferm thier own prejudges. People thought the bible said black people were infearior to white people, now its the gays that is the inferror race so to speak. You can bet if its not one thing its another. They need groups like gays or blacks or whatever ect to polorize thier base. when gays are accpted as humans without mental disorders and when we finaly relize this is a socal thing to help our over population, the CC will find something else to demonize. Hay maybe we can burn people like me for my beleaves. I would love to valiantly die a romantic death.
Now im willing to concead that christians are just as misguided as everyone else in this world and that we only human. We sin. We hate. and We fear. But thiers no way thier beleafs make them better people. Its phlosphy that makes people better people. Its people like jesus and socraties, and MLK, and that guy from the movie "the devils" that get it. They understand a truth that most of us never will. Christianity wont make people better. Its a suger pill (or a focus). People make themselves better and they make themselves worse.
Thier may be something out in that lightless ocean filled with flickering stars, but fighting over what we feel without reallying truely knowing and confusing these feelings with absolute truth is a very quick path to eternal nothingness.

Well you don’t even need to believe in god in my opinion. Most holy wars so far are between people that worship god differently and think that their way is the only way and the right way.
As long as you don’t let your beliefs mix with your prejudice and hate then its all good.
I think spirituality is very important to all people. Everyone’s got to believe in something even if that something is nothing. We just can’t let that to drive us to kill each other.
The Babylon comment was a little jab at the tower of Babylon. in the bible, at one point people created a tower so tall it would reach heaven. (i think at that point god feared us) he destroyed the tower and divided us with languages and culture and because of this we kill eachother. We have to understand no matter how different we are from other people their is a commonality, and we are all human. I think most religions polarize us so we can’t see another’s view and this is when things like genocide happen.

If I was to guess, I would say that I am an agnostic with potent dash of Wicca, druidic, and Buddhist. It has a heck of a lot less baggage in my opinion.

Not sure. I think part of it is a need for something more in life. If someone is completely happy and fulfilled, then they may not need fulfillment, but most people are not happy and fulfilled. So spirituality can be used to fill that void. Some people fill it with "stuff" instead. I think someone without any; absolutely no spirituality, would follow Nietzsche writings verbatim, but not really indulge in the sensual.

I think we all have some fear and doubt.
I think another explanation may be, people don’t want to become dust when they die. Many religions believe in a world after death, and i think this quenches fears of dieing and becoming nothing afterwards.
