I used to live with a roommate who had a 360, and I played a number of games on a guest account I created on his 360. Now I own one, and my question is

a.) will I be able to take that guest account from his 360 using a flash drive and put it on mine, then become a paying LIVE member with it, and

b.) do I need to have that account save data first or can I create an account and then link it to the guest account save data when I end up getting that information? (Typing this out, I now realize this is probably not possible.)

I want to boot up my new 360, but I figure I should wait until I have that profile save data first. Am I right in thinking this?

Thanks!

Just copy your profile to the drive and any associated saves. Then just move it over to your new box. Then you can just sign up for live there. There really is no guest acct. Just seperate

You may have to change your name if it was an offline profile. You can keep your gamerscore, but if the name was already taken, you'll have to change it.
