On disc two, Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls will feature an all-new digital transfer of the film, trailers and television spots, and three episodes from television's Ace Ventura The Animated Series. A third bonus disc will contain even more episodes from the cartoon series which have been specially selected for this DVD release. We've attached our first look at the artwork below:

Sorry to thread-crap, but I found these movies funny when they first came out, but they didn't seem to age too well.

Ha ha! I almost just got mad because I just bought them (individually, full screen editions) off of fye.com. Then I realized how much I paid for them... $1.03 each. LOL, I'll probably just buy the boxset and give the full screen DVDs to my brother or something.
I wonder if they will add the scene where Ace sings with Cannibal Corpse.
GREATEST SCENE IN ALL THE ACE VENTURE MOVIES! honestly...cannibal corpse is a kick ass band too

I remember going to the theatre to see "When Nature Calls" 17 times; I was a very bored child. In any case, I remember the television series being a really dumb cartoon, can anyone else confirm, or is it just my bad memory?

yeah the cartoon was awful... remember the dumb and dumber cartoon? it only lasted 1 episode i think... for some reason they had 2 beavers that were their superior side-kicks or something. it was horrible.

This is awesome. I still watch the both every now and then. I own both already but will definately be picking this up. I hope they have that extra scene in the first one where he enters a bar looking for Ray Finkle and a thug breaks a bottle of beer and starts coming towards Ace and then, he takes one of his contacts off, breaks it on the counter and say "so you wanna fight with glass..." - That was soo freaking funny and for some reason, its not on the DVD I own, I've only seen that on the extended version they showed on TV some time ago.

I remember enjoying the cartoon, but that was back in the day.

Thank God for this. I've been waiting to get rid of my foolscreen DVD for a long time.

Also released on the same day is a collection featuring Grumpy Old Men 1 & 2, both in widescreen for the first time as well.

Amazon.com is saying August 22nd for the Grumpy two pack. About fucking time too. Too bad it looks like the set will just be movie only releases but I'll be more than happy to upgrade from my Laserdisc Letterbox editions. :D

$9.95 directly from Warner.

I've been waiting for this for awhile... I refused to buy them, as I did happy gilmore, hoping for a widescreen release of the first film in a box set, much like the happy madison collection.

Ace FTW!
