Yeah it kinda starts off like almost every other Gundam series which makes it kind of redunant, so it was a slow start for sure. Oddly enough when they took it off Toonami is when the series starts to pick up its pace. The makers could've easily trimmed the story down to about half the episodes, I was onlu slightly interested in it at first and thought the story was pretty shallow, but now near the end the story seems alot deeper.

Well, I had one hell of a night that saw me running all over campus and watching one friend get picked up by the cops. And the other guy wasn't a cake walk either...

Don't get me wrong, HL2 owns Doom 3 up one side and down the other. However, Doom 3 is still pretty engrosing when you take it at face value. Its supposed to be a pretty, kill everything that moves game. It does what it does and it does it well.
 
I was supposed to start work at 1 today...yet i randomly set my alarm clock to 8 a.m.

Few minutes later, i get a phone call that makes me now work the morning shift. Thank god there's now sun in the evenings...

Right now im putting up posters and window clings for Free Comic Book day, which will be held on May 7th. Even have a star wars comic for that day

Is your store doing anything beyond the FCBD issues?

Not sure yet. We've had a few different sales over the years, and im not normally told until a few days before (mainly because they arnt sure what it is until a few days before). We still have some excess from last year, and we do order almost all the books, including indies. Its a fun day to work :)

...oh, just remembered...we will have a "Spider-man" appearance. yep, some guy in a suit. I must remember im an employee, so i cant kick him in the junk for a laugh

That's stupid because any one old enough to enjoy spiderman wouldnt be entertained by a dude in a suit.

Are you sure? Kids are definitely able to watch the movie or the old cartoons, and I enjoyed comics when I was younger even if I didn't pick up on all of the nuancies that were there.

Needless to say, I think of Spider-Man and Batman a bit differently than I used to. ;)
 
...little kids like spidey. Mind you, i run a comic shop that actually has famalies who shop here. were kid friendly by having an entire section devoted to all ages comics as well as a clean enviroment as to not frighten the parents.

Also, the other possible "guy in suits" where scooby and SpongeBob...frankly, im glad they went for spidey...unless he ends up looking like Tron guy....

I never really liked Peter Chung's work at all so an Aeon Flux movie already seems like a mistake to me. However so far it seems like they've done a decent job in getting a director and cast, though I'm not sure if Charlize Theron can really do an all-out action movie.
 
Anybody find it odd that Cheapy made a resolution for more bannings and we've only had unbannings? I know two were just April Fools, but still.
 
I know I'm a week behind most of you guys, but I just saw Sin City. fucking Amazing. Which scene did Tarantino direct? I have a guess, but I don't know if I'm right.

It will take a while, all his old enimes (DZ, organicow) are gone so after he gets bored he'll need to take a week or 2 to find some new people to insult.

But perhaps he's changed, I'd perfer that option.

Sorry for the late reponse, I'm neck-deep in the TPBs at the moment. It's remarkable just how close to the comic the movie managed to be.
