Actual allocations of units per store

check this out, pretty killer...
Dropped the numbers into Excel to check if they matched. Which they do.

Units to North America: 1,000,000
Percent to USA: 60%
Units to USA: 600,000

Store # % Company Store
Toys R' US 587 20% 120000 204
Best Buys 940 15% 90000 96
Circuit City 632 10% 60000 95
Gamestop 3684 15% 90000 24
Wal-Mart 1123 10% 60000 53
Wal-Mart SC 2142 15% 90000 42
Targets 1444 10% 60000 42
Others 3000 5% 30000 10

Note that the image has a few typos and is poorly formated which gives me pause and the source isnt clear. However, the numbers kinda fit which offer no real insight other than Toys R Us is getting a larger number of units than anyone else.

Either it's real or someone just put everything everyone knows into a tabular format.

For one, the average for EB/GS is 24. It seemed like such a small number compared to PS3 preorders, but looking at the big picture, the chain as a whole received (tied for) the second largest allotment, they just have a shitload more stores to spread them out over.
Hm so when does the first shipment come in after launch? The next week?
The comments floating about hint at department stores being able to restock within a few days.

However, It all depends on how Nintendo distrubutes the Wii. They may have secondary shipments already in holding at shipping distrubution centers either by store or in bulk and could push out replacement orders based on Sunday's sales.

I'd bet replenishment arrives Tuesday/Wednesday for Black Friday. It'll be key to have them available in the stores that day.

Did TRU pre order all of their Wii's or just like 20-30. I am wondering if I should go to BB, Tru, CC, or Target.

i saw that link on bluesnews.com today. i also do not know the full sources but it seems real enough. i know that the eb i pre-ordered at only took pre-orders and most likely will not have extra at their midnight launch.

They didn't pre-order all. My store only pre-ordered 10 and the manager said they were definitely getting more for launch, and that it would be a first-come-first-serve supply.

I hope the numbers are close to this at Toys R Us. That estimate seems a bit high, but hey, we'll see.
Do you think a Wii will sell for $400 and up on ebay on the 19,20, 21?
I doubt it will go for much more then $300.

My toys r us only got 9 Wii units for pre-order.. which suggests that those numbers are way off the mark.. my TRU probably won't get as many as my target (24 units)

Definitely not completely accurate (my four local Targets are getting listed as getting 33, 33, 24, and 24), but close enough to be reasonable.

Just hard to gauge how truly hot this thing is going to be on launch day. I can see big cities completely selling out, and I'm feeling kinda squishy about my town with a population of around 700,000, several sizeable colleges, and a good chunk of people in the target demographic.

I figure we'll get between 600-1000 units around here for launch day. Dunno how well we'll fare.

These numbers may be the total number of units each store is getting including their online stores.

Wait, each Toys R Us is getting approx. 204 Wiis?!

Wonder if that's all TRU pre orders????

Still, the one thread said my Target will carry 81 Wiis. ::crosses fingers::
