Addressing all the "'user x' ripped me off!!1" topics

seriosuly people CHILL THE fuck OUT!
heres a quick guideline if you feel you have been ripped off:

1. PM/E-mail/call the other person.
2. contact a mod and ask the mod to PM the person and respond to your messages
3. allow time for replys! at least 3-4 days to check PMs or e-mails. not all of us live on cag (tho i do) heh
4. if they have been reading your PMs but not responding to them send them one last PM saying that youre about to start a thread about it if its not cleared up asap.
5. do the thread so people in the community know whats going on.

seriously its not that hard!!
everyone jumping the gun and crying wolf is gunna create alot of tension on the trading board here, and thats not fgood, so everyone chill out now and be more reasonable and understanding. oh and if you can manager it, more logical (i got the package today and am posting the thread right now because i didnt get a reply within 3 hours!)
 
Wow, I didn't realize how many there were. I'd seen a few pop up and even posted in a couple. I just checked the trade forums and there were at least 5 in the last week.

I almost had a trade go sour. But instead of going crazy and jumping the gun, I PM'ed Brolly (seeing as he made most of the stickies in the trade forum), and everything was fine after that.

I can understand wanting to warn the community about this kind of stuff, but make sure you have a legitimate reason first. I think some of these people wanted to be at the center of the next Cloudspekk debacle or something.
 
speaking of bad, this should be the OFFICIAL bad traders list, like name the bad people or beware of these traders? yea.. lets team up pirate! =D

Actually mousin, we're trying to avoid that. At least until proof of wrongdoing is present.

i meant a thread by cheapyd or one of the mods to get the bitching and whining in 1 single thread. im bitching right now about bitching. the irony! well, pity. pirate, i say you change topic to "Official bitch-and bad trader thread"

cloudspekk should be first, then puyopuyo.. and so on

I realize that you feel a lot of spite and hate for cloud considering that he stole your games, but really when you think about it, hedid get away with it. Now I by no means am saying stealing is right; I'm completely against it, just honestly, you turned out to be the "dumb bastard" considering that you were the one that got ripped. Sure it wasn't your fault, and there was nothing you could do, but still.

And btw, tehr is no registrd usr x on the boards u lyd!11!!!!!1!!

Sorry, just I really wanted to do that. And on a side note, lets keep those topics in the user ratings topic (or whatever it's called); only a minority of CAGs trade on here, and the rest of us (including me) DON'T CARE.
 
I found myself in the mood to read the cloudspekk thread, and during my search I found this little nugget of hilarity from a few months back. I suggest anyone who is new to trading here read this and the cloudspekk thread. If you gain nothing else from it, you should at least gain an idea of what not to do in a trade. Communication is key. Like someone else said, trading is a mere step away from being a business transaction. So treat it that way.

On the note of the cloudspekk thread, I can't find it. :?
Was it deleted? If anyone does find it, let me know.

wha? Cloudspekk didn't rip me off and he didn't get away with it. Were you even paying attention?

And I called him a dumb bastard because he showed us proof that he was lying, what with all the receipt nonsense and all the shipping photos and the drama about him takincg pictures of everything.

I hate the dumb bastards who made those topics and the fact that this one had to be made to prevent those from happening again.

I never read that much of the Cloudspekk but I was in the James thread the whole time. It was a whole bucket of fun. :)

If by "get away with it" you mean sent everything back (or items of same value) because he was scared I was going to post his picture and class schedule (as well as notify his place of employment), then yes he got away with it.

Eh, sorry, I was talking out of my ass; I didn't stick around to the end, and I figured you didn't get your games back. If you did, good for you. I still respide by my suggestion to move all those topics into the user rating thread though. But was I right about the fact that nach was the one involved in the cloud scam?

On a side note, I also use my name, Kenny, as my password! What a coincidence.
 
Wow. I just got done reading the entire James thread (stayed up half the night doing it). That was some damn good entertainment. Y'know, though, I wouldn't be surprised if JamesH and James were the same person. The reason why I say this is because James started using capitalization and punctuation a lot more after JamesH came onto the scene (obviously, JamesH had to show better grammar to be distinguishable from James). Plus, JamesH appeared right when James should have broke down and fessed up. I dunno... it still seemed fishy to me, and I wouldn't have apologized as readily as everyone else did. Damn, I really wish the CloudSpekk thread was still around. :(

I am considering possible feedback penalties for user's who cry wolf if this situation worsens.
