Advice on REZ and GUITAROO MAN

Grugger

CAGiversary!
I've already bought Gitaroo Man, it was used but in mint condition for $20 dollars.

I can buy Rez for $35 (bit expensive for CD-only IMO), which is also CD-only and it too is good condition.

Minor scratches can be minimalized with a buffer I can use.

So what I'm asking is what would you do if you were in my position, would you have bought both games?

Cause I don't want to feel like I'm wasting money for buying both Rez and Guitaroo Man that are CD-only.

I love Gitaroo Man. $20 is a steal for that game.

Rez on the other hand, I wouldn't touch a cd-only game with a 10 foot pole. It would have to be complete. I wouldn't buy it, but that's just me. If you don't care about the case or booklet, then it's your choice.

Well technically all gaming purchases are a "waste." They are entertainment. If you get entertainment out of the game then I'd say it's worth it. If you are buying them to invest, then you are stupid.

Yeah, that's a bit steep for a disc only. I got lucky and found a new one at TRU a long while back for $27. It's a good game but not as great as some people make it out to be. Not everyone cares for it and it's pretty short if you aren't into replaying the levels.

EDIT: I guess I didn't make it clear that I was referring to Rez. As for advice on the disc only Gitaroo-man, if you don't care for it I'd be willing to take it off your hands. I received a PAL copy as a gift about a month ago and have been looking for a disc only NTSC copy ever since.

Well I had already decided on keeping the disc only Gitaroo Man, though. Thanks for the advice on Rez. Ironically the guy who traded these games in still has the box and manuals. The guy who sold the two games for a PSP kept the stuff just in case he wanted to buy them back, ironic that I'm buying the games he thought he could buy back.

This is one of the most well said statements I've read on CAG this year. Games are entertainment, unfortunately there are people out there that try to make big bucks off of hard to find games. That forces me to buy games that I don't even have time to play because I know in the future some bastard is going to charge more than it's worth once it becomes OOP. I have refused to purchase any game over it's original MSRP and I will continue to do so, even if it means never playing Suikoden II...
