Advice on Xbox Live Gold Deals

Hey all,

I let my Gold subscription lapse a while back as I wasn't using it much. I recently decided that I want to re-up and managed to get in on one of the $9.99 3-month Sears cards but was also thinking of taking advantage of the current $40 12-month card on sale at BB. But, since I already have 3-months in the mail I wanted to check here first to see how often you all see these kinds of deals on the gold cards? Are these on sale at BB or Amazon every few months anyhow? Or is this a fairly rare occurrence?

Strange question, somewhat related. Is there any kind of limit on stacking gold time? If I were to find a good deal on 12 month cards, and bought a whole bunch, could would they all stack, or is there some kind of limit anyone is aware of?

You can stack up to three years' worth of XBL Gold membership time, from today's date.

Well, they are always $40 on Amazon, and they generate a code for you and send it via e-mail, so you don't have to wait for shipping.
