I believe after you beat the game you can start a new game and keep your score running as long as you don't leave the room you are in.

I have been playing the crap our of this game lately and it's alot better than the quick first glance I gave it! Coming out the same time as Halo pushed it immediately to the back bumper but everyone should give it a second look. Online is great if you can find a team willing to work together and amusing watching people trying to be glory whores and dying constantly. S ingle player is challenging as well trying to get the 185K achievement. I need that and beat insane achievements still..... Can't wait for more old school Gradius type goodness on the 360. I wish I had a PS2 i'd go buy the Gradius Collection right now!

I also have one achievement left, Ace. I got most of the others pretty easily though. I remember staying up till like 5 in the morning trying to beat this game on insane, fun stuff.
The Ace achievement is pretty hard. With 4 players, it's doable though. You have to play on insane to get enough enemies on the screen. It's easier if you have one person do most of the shooting to collect points. This is my strategy:
Have player 1 collect all the offensive weapons like the homing missiles and the laser. Player 2 and 3 should be combined and collecting the EMP and shield powerups. When player 1 has a weapon, he should connect to 2 and 3 to use the weapon (makes it a lot bigger). Take out the mines too, they give you extra points. You will see the laser can clear out 2/3 of the screen now instead of maybe 10%. It's helpful to have a player 4 that stays out of the way and respawns everyone if players 1-3 all die at the same time, which happens if you get lasered by those purple guys.
