After Christmas Sales....

I've never really paid attention or followed sales and when they usually inflate or deflate.

I'm curious as to when stores usually give good deals? (Like what seasons)

I know its pretty random, but I'm sure there are particular times of the year when prices go down, or their are just really good deals.

I'm asking particularly for Post-Christmas season. Do prices often go down, or do stores start giving many good "deals" after Christmas time?

I'm mainly asking because I really want a 360, but don't feel like spending 400 dollars since I've seen many good deals already. One with an 80 dollars savings and another with a 100 dollar gift card in just about two months... which unfortunately I missed out on BOTH!!! :bomb:

Anyways basically, do stures usually give really good deals after the christmas time within a month afterwards? Unless they usually only give good deals a month before or two months, and not often afterwards?

best deals fall between thanksgiving and christmas. I dont expect any major sales this week. (well besides the TRU one)

I wouldnt expect to see any great deal on the 360 until after e3

guess I might not be getting one for a while then...

maybe I'll just get a Wii and wait for a price drop.. but I don't really like ANY of the games on the Wii, and I don't like mario and zelda games.... or metroid for that matter..

Isn't E3 cancelled?

The deal everyone is salivating on right is the TRU deal kicking off tomorrow. I know the one I usually hit had lots of those games on the list but Im sure theyll be cleaned out by the time I get there.

I thought it was gonna be downsized, or that another company was taking the helm. In any case, I'm expecting to see a price drop or HD upgrade (or both) in 2007, if only to put extra pressure on Sony.

i got some papers the other week about E3. Its mostly just mostly like meetings and people giving speeches.. It seems they wont have on hand games like they did in the past.

Is it a very busy shopping period on the day after Thanksgiving? TRU does have a few games that caught my eye.

See, I thought this thread was gonna be about true after christmas sales when we see all the decorations go on sale....im heading out tomorrow with my aunts early in the morning for those since its usually 50% off right off the bat.

Everyone hards for those decorations and usually are gone within hours...
I go early to snag some cheap toys ans to get rare ones if they put new ones out.

If your looking for games, go check out the TRU thread in the VG deals section.

many stores around here had 40% off sales starting last weds. Many people would rather pay 40% off and use the items this christmas then 50% and wait a year. Walmart was almost wiped clean

Thats wierd cause my Targets all pulled their christmas ornaments. When I went last minute shopping I saw none in the aisles. didnt ask but they usualy have a bunch of stuff the day after Christmas for sale.
