Long story short. I am going to study abroad in Japan for two semesters. I am leaving late September of this year and will return late July 2011. I have actually never flown anywhere before (sad I know) and have no idea about buying airline tickets. I know of the sites Priceline and Bestfares which show my one way ticket from Dallas to Tokyo would be about $800 before tax. I expect to spend a lot on a ticket, but you guys have never steered me wrong before. Any things I should know about as far as getting discounts or cheaper rates while flying?
