Airplane friendly multiplayer games.

We're going to Canada on Friday and it's a 2 hour flight (plus waits at the airport)...

So I need advice on a few fun multiplayer games (single card or multi-card) multiplayer for my brother and I. And by airplane friendly, I mean games which don't require very precise touch screen controls like Trauma Center (it's a small plane, it'll rattle a lot).

We already have a few:
Mario Kart - easily our favorite but there's only so many multiplayer stages.
NSMB - it's kinda fun but not something we want to play for a long time.
Metroid Prime Hunters - hard to play, cramps up my hand.
Tetris DS - it's fun for a while...

I have a DSL and my brother has a DSi, if that matters.

I need advice quick, I want to make use of the B2G1F sale at Gamestop tomorrow.

I know it's not a video game, but if you're open to card games, San Juan is great card game for 2+ people, and travels well.

Thanks for the tips everyone.

Hm... Mario Party DS, that sounds like the best option.

Good point, I forgot about that... I'll check with them when I'm on board, if we can't play multiplayer, we'll just play some single player games I guess.

I thought most of them were more prohibitive than that. Don't they say no portable video games at all?

Took 3 flights in the past 8 months overseas, and played on my DS wifi on every trip with my brother and sister. Should be no problem.

Some airplanes actually have wifi internet service on them. If you can't use wifi while in flight, then that would be a pretty stupid service to provide your customers!

EDIT: I think the restrictions on use of wifi and such are generally only during takeoff and landing.

Yea, usually once you reach the cruising altitude, every flight of length that I've been on has allowed use of laptops and gaming devices.

As for suggestions:
Flight may be a little short for it, but the Crystal Chronicle games are a blast (second one being better imo) with multiple players.

Contra 4 is also good fun.

It does seem counter-intuitive, but here's American Airlines' policy:

Electronic Equipment/Personal Devices
All portable electronic devices must remain off and properly stowed during taxi, takeoff, approach and landing until the plane is at the gate and the seat belt sign is off. Cell phones may be used on certain aircraft after landing in the U.S., the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico, once authorized by a flight attendant. Your flight attendant will tell you when you may use approved portable electronic devices in-flight. Devices with transmitting capabilities may only be used if the transmit capability is turned off and can be verified by a flight attendant (example: combination cell phone/PDA devices or laptop computers with wireless capabilities).

And this is on the same page of their website that touts in-flight wifi being available on certain flights.
